They set up 2 temporary walls, then demo'd a load-bearing wall (which was plaster and lath so MUCH more labor-intensive than drywall would have been), then installed a large LVL beam. They also removed trim (as needed to see the old framing) and closed in a window. They were terrific workers and I'd have them back in a heartbeat.
