"Cory and Colton arrived on the time schedule, did a survey on the apartment and quickly started moving the furniture. They were very professional and did the best they could to finish as early as possible."

"This young man is very professional. He knows what he’s doing and does it with amazing speed. He was working alone and managed to load 2 queen size mattresses and box springs and one single mattress and box springs into his truck in record time! He even arrived early! I would highly recommend D&DElite transport .LLC"

"Ive moved over 10 times being in the Military who usually pays for my move. This Move i was paying for after speaking to 5 different companies, Top Tier Van Lines was the most Honestout of them All! As they were the only ones to let me know the extra charges for wrapping my TVs, Mirrors , China Hutch, which none of the other moving company mentioned! The guys who picked me up were VERY professional all in Uniform and all employed by Top Tier Van Lines! The Foreman Alfonzo was Great as well as my Moving coordinator Brian was there for me from start to finish! Im Very Pleased with the overall move. I had a few scratches here and there but probably overall the best moves ive had thank you again"

Small jobs welcome

"They were on time neat and clean and very polite. They were definitely very experienced and you could tell that they had been working together for a long time by the way they worked with each other. They made the move as smooth and stress free as I could possibly ask for. I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.."

Moving questions, answered by experts

Yes, it is cheaper to move yourself than to hire professional movers. The average DIY move costs $120 to $2,300, while professionals cost $890 to $2,570 on average or up to $12,000 for the longest distances. While you’ll save on the cost of professional labor with a DIY move, you’ll spend more time and energy packing, loading, transporting, unloading, and unpacking.

In most cases, you should get a full month’s notice for a move date. If you’re renting, your landlord or property management company is required to give the same amount of notice as your pay period length. So, if you pay rent each month, they will need to give you a month’s notice unless your leasing agreement says otherwise.

The most expensive part of moving is hiring professional movers. However, hiring a pro is more efficient and less stressful, so many people find the cost worth it. You’ll also spend a lot of money on packing supplies, including boxes, tape, and bubble wrap, so ask around to see if any friends or family members have old supplies you can use for free.

Choosing a reliable moving company is critical because you’re entrusting all of your belongings to the professional movers, so you’ll want to make sure you consider the following:

  • The experience of the movers and the number of years in the industry

  • The add-on services provided, like packing and storage

  • The warranty or insurance coverage to protect your belongings

We also recommend confirming that the movers are properly licensed using Angi’s state licensing tool. You can check for certification from organizations like the American Moving and Storage Association.

On average, it takes 4 to 6 hours to move a pool table, depending on factors like its size and weight and the distance it needs to travel. For larger pool tables or those with a ball return system, the time can take closer to 6 to 8 hours due to the complex disassembly and reassembly.
