"We hired Jeff based on reviews from Angie's List. We wanted our basement converted to 2 bedrooms, bath, and workshop. Based on already roughed-in plumbing, he completed the job with help from a plumber and electrician. In order to comply with window egress codes, he built benches in both bedrooms beneath the windows, after replacing the windows with compliant models - by crawling under a 3-ft deck. He was punctual, reliable, and we trusted him in our home. He is quiet and straightforward, and he provided us with itemized invoices. He is about to begin a second bathroom renovation for us and we have hired him for a partial garage re-build. We recommend Jeff with no reservations - from framing to painting to carpentry."

"Highly recommended. Jose and Cesar were great. They were reliable and their work was excellent. They completely remodeled our condo including 4 bathrooms, floors, fireplace/hearth, etc. It was a big job and they worked with us to make sure everything came out exactly the way we wanted. We recommend plywood and solid wood. Particleboard and MDF (medium-density fiberboard) are often too weak to hold significant loads, and could sag or deform under pressure. Plywood or solid wood are meant to last, and can handle the weight of several large items. If you want to spend a little more for a moisture-resistant material, you can consider using steel.

Some garage door materials (such as wood) have natural insulating capabilities, while other materials (such as metal) do not. No matter the material, two-layer and three-layer garage doors have a higher R-value than single-layer garage doors, as insulation is fitted between the panels.
