difficult to get in touch with at first; once services confirmed, it all went fairly smoothly.  When garage door was removed, they removed garage door opener and we had to call back and have a new garage door opener installed

The service provided was okay.

My call was answered immediately by a friendly, courteous woman, who took my request and patched me to a man who was able to schedule me for a time at my convenience in the next couple of days. They gave me a reasonable estimate, including the hourly rate and cost of expected parts needed. I expected him to be there Friday shortly after I got home from work, so as it got later, we thought he hadn't shown up. It turned out that he was able to get there a few hours earlier and completed the job before we got home. The work looks excellent, and the door opens smoothly. The bill was slightly below the estimate. I'm very happy with the job.

My first issue, was I could not get anyone to call me back by leaving a message on the phone number listed for the company. Just kept getting a machine. I finally used the emergency number from the message on the machine and someone did return my call. It wasn't an emergency, but that was the only phone number that was responded to. They set up a time and day and were prompt. At a charge of $182.22 they replaced all the door rollers and pulleys and said all was now fine, that the others were old. That made sense to me as they had installed the door lift back in 2006.

Within a week or so the door was shrieking again. We called again (used the emergency number again) and they came out and adjusted it again at no charge. That did not last either. I called again in June and they came out yet again, looked around, said the door was off kilter and I needed to just shift it back into place when it made the noise. They then charged us another $90.00. Even though I am a very physically fit person, I could no more shift that door than I could stop a moving bus. To reach up overhead and yank that big door into place made no sense. I offered to purchase a new set of tracks or a new door, but he said no need it was just the door slipping to one side. He left and I gave up on the door and the company.

We left the door as it was all summer and did not use the garage. Once the snow started I needed the garage. So we used it by leaving the door open at all times. I then started a search for other companies and came up with another company of Rutland VT about an hour west of us. They answered their phone and were polite and professional. They sent someone out promptly and they made a bunch of adjustments. The door stuck part way up once after their repair so I called them and they came back right away and adjusted the track and it has worked fine ever since. Wish I could give Action Garage Door a better rating, but the overall experience and expense for ending up with a non functioning garage door prevents me from doing that. Will not use them again.

Appointment was scheduled quickly (less than one week out).  Price Representative showed up in the window provided and answered all questions.  He disconnected the current motor and openers, installed new ones and let us know that we would need new door system in the future due to the age of the springs currently in place and the fact that the springs were maxed out.  
Professional and quick.  Very pleased.  Only very minor complaint was there was a sharp/pointed screw left in the garage bay and several metal nuts on the ground.
