"Anthony is so efficient. He definitely works smarter not harder. He was only here for 3.5 hours and trimmed trees, bushes, and removed undergrowth across the entire width of our back yard. We liked him and his work so much he is coming back to do more next week. His prices were very reasonable. If you need yard services, you should give A&J Lawn Care a call or find them on Angie's List. You won't be disappointed!"

Customers say: True professional

"Professional and Extremely Knowledgeable! He looked over my system and explain the problem and what needed to be done before doing any work. He is an outstanding representative for your company. I only have sprinklers in my front yard but after speaking to Malcolm and his great personality I was inquiring about him installing system in my back yard. That is the type of CUSTOMER SERVICE you want when someone comes to your house. I forgot he was there to fix the sprinklers and was looking around the around the house for other things for him to work on. He will be my yearly call for my system each year and any other time I have issue with my system. SUPERB SERVICE."

"I think they treated the wrong lawn. The note they sent me via text message referenced trees and shrubs in my yard, I have none. They also did not leave a yard marker showing they had been there. Otherwise, this would have been a 5 star review."

Lawns questions, answered by experts

Debris removal is often included in the overall cost of having a tree removed from your property. However, tree maintenance service companies do not always include debris removal in their pricing, so ask any contractors offering tree trimming cost estimates whether or not removal is included. If you want to keep the wood mulch, ask if they charge extra for it as well.

Yes, it's perfectly safe and environmentally sound to mulch leaves with a lawn mower, provided that the layer of leaves isn't too thick and the leaves are dry and crispy. Too many wet leaves get sticky and will clog the mower. Thick layers of leaves can suffocate the lawn after the leaves have been mulched, so the layer should be no more than six inches thick.

It may not be worth it to rake every leaf in your yard, but it’s necessary to remove the majority of leaves to prevent them from smothering grass growth on your lawn. However, raking leaves isn’t your only option for leaf removal. You can remove leaves easily with a leaf blower or compost or mulch them with your lawn mower to repurpose them to help grow your garden or yard.

There are a few ways to fix your lawn on a budget, including:

  • Identify the lawn care problem and learn how to seed, fertilize, and aerate your lawn.

  • Reseed old, damaged lawn with new grass that fares better in your environment.

  • Remove grass from your yard so you no longer need to worry about lawn care costs.

Yes, if your home is poorly maintained and has weeds and overgrowth, it can affect your home appraisal and lower the value. Home buyers want to see a well-kept home, and if yours lacks curb appeal whether inundated by weeds or not, you could be neglecting the potential for it to reach its full value.
