"A Home Renovation LLC (Owner: Javier) ​Overall Rating: 2 out of 5 Stars (DO NOT RECOMMEND) ​I hired A Home Renovation LLC for a porch renovation, which included a smaller, agreed-upon auxiliary job. While the project was completed, the experience was deeply unsatisfactory due to both subpar workmanship in highly visible areas and the highly unprofessional and belligerent behavior of the owner, Javier. ​Issues with Professionalism and Communication ​Javier is exceptionally challenging and argumentative to work with. His communication was defined by open hostility, sarcasm, and dismissal of customer input. ​Argumentative and Dismissive: He was openly hostile to basic customer questions and input. When questioned, he repeatedly reminded me that he had "been doing this work 10 years," using his asserted experience to dismiss any concern or design preference I had. ​Rude and Disproportionate: When I politely requested an itemized receipt, his immediate, disproportionate response was: "Jesus Christ you told me at my earliest convenience. I'm working on it. I've been busy." This established a tone of disrespect for the entire engagement. ​Excusing Poor Quality: When a flaw in the completed work was pointed out, Javier’s response was, "you get what you pay for," suggesting low quality was justified despite our agreed-upon contract price. ​Contractual Obligation Treated as a "Favor": He treated the small, agreed-upon extra job as a personal favor rather than a commitment under our contract. ​Critical Workmanship and Material Damages ​The structural work was adequate, but the final, highly visible details suffered from poor execution and damaged materials. ​Poor Workmanship: The final detailing includes uneven cuts and poor finishes in prominent areas. ​Material Damage: We noted several critical material damages upon final inspection: ​Cracked stair post tubing. ​The hand railing running down the stairs is badly scratched. ​A new white handrail has a noticeable black stain on the bottom. ​Conclusion ​Had Javier been willing to engage respectfully, I might have been able to overlook minor imperfections. However, his belligerent attitude, combined with noticeable flaws and material damage, makes this unacceptable. ​I now require that all noted issues, including specific poor workmanship and material damages, be corrected immediately or that I be reimbursed for the cost of professional repairs. Due to Javier's conduct, A Home Renovation LLC has lost any opportunity for future projects I had planned. I strongly advise others to look elsewhere unless you can handle the disrespect."

This trios, expert skills, high standards, and genuine concern for the customers satisfaction are truly beyond my highest expectations. I have high standards and they exceeded my standards. I was kept informed of progress and plans for the next days work. And they are genuinely nice people and that includes contract coordinator, James L. and the office coordinator, Christina. Really pleased with the deck extension. They finished in five days and my neighbors are already expressing how good it looks. Everybody that sees it is in AWE about the how good it looks and the quality of the workmanship! Recently I mentioned to a colleague that I had my deck extended by The Composite Guys and could not tell him how impressed I was because he kept going on an on about the replacement deck they had built for him. This conversation has happened with anybody Iâ ve talked to that has hired them. Thank you."

"Steve and Tyler are a fantastic team. They have done a variety of projects at my home over the years, including replacing rotten wood, replacing windows, building a shed, and a pergola. Their work is always exceptional and done in record time. They do a great job of explaining what the work entails, the cost of the materials, and how long it will take.
