"Bottom Line: We have used Iboy Construction Services (ICS) for multiple electrical, carpentry, and low-level remodeling projects, but this was the first time for detailed carpentry work associated with crown molding. They again did excellent work for a reasonable price, and more importantly, built a huge amount of trust with the customer. Communication: Scheduling the initial estimate was easy and timely communication continued throughout the process. Scoping Work: This is probably the most important first step in any project and often messed up. Enrique has the requisite skills to listen and understand what the customer desires and provide detailed advice and options. For this project, we needed professional-level carpentry to absolutely minimize any gaps between molding joints, the ceiling, and the walls – essentially a caulkless project. I had already done as much prep work as possible to square corners, but some tricky detailed cuts were going to be required. Quality of Work: Frankly, 75-80% of contractors fail here for three primary reasons: a horrible handoff of details from the estimator to the onsite project foreman, project foreman and/or workers making assumptions vice asking the customer, and lack of quality detailed work. You do not normally have that problem with ICS as it’s a small business, and Enrique is involved during every part of the process. In this case, he sent his carpentry expert, who did an excellent job, with one joint requiring some caulking. The end product was beautiful. Pricing: Price was the best of three highly ranked Angie’s List companies. ICS’s expertise, practical scoping, willingness to explain the details of the project, timely communication, and excellent work took the hassle out of this project."
