"I was extremely pleased with Gonzalez Landscaping and Tree Care. The crew arrived on time, had all the right equipment and gave me good advice on where trimming was needed. They were friendly, professional, and polite. They left a clean yard, and rates were reasonable. I will definitely be using them again!"

"The channel drains across the driveway and front walkway were replaced and the drain pipes were cleaned to ensure there was no debris left inside. The work was done expertly and on time. Adrian explained the process to us and came back after the work was completed to ensure we were satisfied. We highly recommend Premium Drainage and Erosion Solutions."

"Came by on Saturday and came by again on Monday and Tuesday and did the work work from 10 to 5 each day. Removed two very large trees and 5 other large trees. Wood was stacked very nicely creating a natural barrier fence for me. This was a five-man crew that worked Non-Stop from 10 to 5 each day. This is the third time I've had Gordon bad to do tree work over a five-year span. And I would not hesitate to call and use him again."

"My front yard was in bad shape and had been made worse by a previous landscaper. I found ET General Contractor INC on Angi, and I’m so glad I did! Julio, the owner, came out to give me a fair estimate and offered helpful safety and cosmetic recommendations. He gave me full confidence that he knew exactly what he was doing and that the job would finally be done right. Julio and his crew buried my downspout, uplifted and regraded my yard up to the foundation, leveled everything out, and installed new sod. They arrived on time, worked hard, and were extremely professional throughout the entire process. The payment terms were fair — half upfront and the remainder upon completion. The results are outstanding! My yard looks beautiful and drains properly now. ET General Contractor INC has earned a loyal customer, and I fully intend to have them do more work for me in the future. Highly recommend!"

Brush Chipping questions, answered by experts

The growth of tall fescue grass often causes clumps of grass in your lawn. Avoid pulling up the clumps, as it won’t effectively remove them. Instead, dig out clumps and their roots when you notice them early in the growing season. Herbicides can also treat grass clumps, but they can also affect other plants you might not want to kill, so use them sparingly and always follow manufacturer instructions.

There are several ways to decompose yard waste quickly. The first step is to move all debris into a compost bin or pile. From there, microorganisms, bacteria, and insects will break down the yard waste into compost. To speed things up, shred the waste into smaller pieces, add live worms to the pile, or introduce nitrogen-rich compost accelerators like grass clippings, coffee grounds, and manure. Turn the compost over every few days. This process, called aerating, allows oxygen to get in and accelerate decomposition.

Debris removal is often included in the overall cost of having a tree removed from your property. However, tree maintenance service companies do not always include debris removal in their pricing, so ask any contractors offering tree trimming cost estimates whether or not removal is included. If you want to keep the wood mulch, ask if they charge extra for it as well.

Removing leaves from your lawn and yard has a few benefits. Leaves that cover your lawn over the winter can block sunlight from reaching your lawn, smothering and even killing the grass. Leftover leaves in your yard can create bare patches that you’ll need to reseed in the spring to return the grass to its former glory. Hiring a leaf removal company can save you time and labor, especially if your lawn is large or you have a high density of trees dropping leaves in your yard.

Yes, you can absolutely make your own mulch, and there are a few ways to go about it. First, you can lay down pine needles or mulched leaves if you’re mulching in the fall. In the spring and summer, you can use mulched grass clippings. Alternatively, you can lay down a few layers of newspaper in your garden and gently wet the paper to keep it in place.
