"I, was visiting my sister and brother in law. They were pulling weeds and putting mulch in their front yard. And Mow 5 acres. I, called Tim to put the mulch in as a Surprse. Tim, came the next day. What a great guy! Very hard worker. Tim, ended up putting 12 yards of mulch down. Tim, also offered to do a little extra trimming around the bushes in the back. I, know that my sister and brother in law would also Highly recommend Tim. Every morning my brother in law would go out and admire at how beautiful it looks. Thanks Tim, for making their property look amazing. 👍😀"

Emergency services offered

"They responded rapidly and were super reliable. Our project included hauling away broken furniture, appliances, and general junk. I especially appreciated the fact that they did not try to gouge us like several other services tried to do, including one that claimed that 10 pickup trucks would be required to haul my junk and tried to charge accordingly. ShenCo Trash Solutions got the job done very quickly, conveniently, and in one trip with one vehicle. My phone number is included below as required, but know that I no longer answer calls from numbers that I do not recognize due to the overwhelming response from my recent online request for help."

Emergency services offered

"I recently worked with Ridgeview Property Services after purchasing a property where the previous owner left everything behind — personal belongings, appliances, refrigerator, trash, and even hazardous materials. The situation could have easily been overwhelming, but their team handled it professionally from start to finish. They set clear timelines, communicated expectations upfront, and completed the clean-out exactly as promised. They removed all personal effects, appliances, toxic materials, and debris efficiently and thoroughly. What impressed me most was their integrity — after the job was completed, they actually lowered the invoice because they felt they had over-quoted. That level of honesty is rare. I would absolutely use Ridgeview Property Services again for future estate purchases or any major property clean-out. Highly recommend."

Small jobs welcome

"John and Nathan from Serenity Lane Hauling Services did a very professional and efficient job of moving out and hauling away a very large and heavy oak King bedroom set. It took precision and muscle to move the bulky pieces down a 13 step stairway without banging into the walls or scratching the wood flooring. They were extremely polite and personable and also observed covid-19 safety measures. The fee was more than reasonable. They will be our go-to haulers from here on out!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

You do not have to remove lead paint if the surface is not chipping or peeling or if there are no pregnant people or children under the age of six who live in or regularly visit your home. Lead paint is a particular risk for young children whose brains and bodies are not fully developed. Experts strongly recommend that you call a pro to remove lead paint if it’s peeling or flaking, no matter who lives in the home. You can experience lead poisoning by breathing in or ingesting just a small amount of it.

Follow recommendations for removal or remediation to ensure a safe living environment.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a chance that any paint on your hardwood floors could be lead paint—especially if it was already there when you moved in. Because lead is toxic, hiring a licensed pro to remove it is mandatory. The average price for professional lead paint removal ranges from $1,500 to $5,300 and depends on the scope of the project.

The best disposal method for hazardous waste is recycling or donation, if possible. That way, the world can reduce its consumption of raw materials and the volume at which materials have to be treated and disposed of. If recycling or donation is not an option, most waste can be disposed of through landfills or incinerators, but their collection and treatment are separate from regular day-to-day waste disposal.
