"The advisor (Mohammed Saeed) was very thorough, professional and knowledgeable. He not only explained what needs to be done but also provided with detailed pictures of our house crawlspace. With confidence we look forward to the work to be performed in the next three weeks."
Unsealed porous foundation walls. Efflorescence has grown along the outside walls.
Plastic is laid out to protect the freshly pained walls and floor.
Open vents in the foundation walls allow outside air and moisture to infiltrate the crawl space, increasing the relative humidity and allowing mold spores to thrive inside.
Spray foam application in progress on warehouse walls.
The dirt floor is exposed, which will allow the moisture from the earth to rise uncontested into the crawl space, adding to the increase in relative humidity.

"The team from Tiger C Construction were professional and completed my French drain install quickly (they actually installed it on a holiday and didn’t charge me extra!). The job was completed just before a rain storm and the drain proved itself quickly. "I actually had two services completed - The installation of a heat pump and a new water heater. They arrived right on time and completed both jobs in a day. Jesse and Jonathan did an excellent job. This was a 3rd-floor condo unit so the outside unit was on the roof of the 5th story, I could not have been more pleased with the outcome - a very professional and thorough job. They even relocated the thermostat to a better wall location. Very easy to work with and the most important thing to me was they obviously take a lot of pride in their work and it's always a pleasure to deal with people who do what they say. Highly Recommended!!"

French Drains questions, answered by experts

It’s possible to snake minor drain clogs yourself, provided they sit within a foot or two of the drain itself, but it’s usually best to hire a professional plumber regardless. Even experienced DIYers have a high chance of accidentally pushing the clog further into the drain using a drain snake or another tool, so hiring a plumber is the ideal course of action. A professional plumber can use camera equipment to locate and identify the clog, and remove the entire blockage to fix your issue permanently.

Regardless of the drain cleaner type you choose to use, they all work through chemical reactions that create heat. Thanks to the heat, the clogged hair begins to dissolve until it is able to be flushed away. To avoid clogs in your drain due to hair, use hair catchers and empty them out after every shower.

In some cases, operating a snake can damage your drain and pipes. This depends on the overall condition of your pipes and how gently you operate the auger. For instance, older galvanized pipes covered in zinc are susceptible to scratches when using a drain snake. Additionally, it’s common for newbies to apply too much force when extending the snake, leading to scratches and related damage. You can also crack the porcelain with an electric auger if you’re snaking a toilet drain. If you’re using a manual snake or auger, the risk is minimal.

While some chemical drain cleaners with hydrochloric acid can dissolve hair, this method is not recommended as it can also destroy your plumbing pipes. A common DIY alternative is using baking soda and vinegar, which can help break down the clog but will not actually dissolve the hair. The best and safest method for clearing a hair clog is to remove it manually. You can use a drain snake, a straightened wire hanger with pliers to fish out the clog, or have a plumber use a professional auger for more severe blockages.

Yes—your local septic company can clean your septic leach lines with a sewer jetter, a device that pumps high-pressure water through the lines to blast out any clogs and scum buildup. Unless there’s a clog or blockage in the lines, however, you do not need to perform this maintenance regularly. Do not attempt to clean your own leach lines, as you could easily damage them, leading to very costly repairs.
