"Cole Electric has good communication with the customer from your first inquiry, email & text follow up . They requested photos of what I need to address so they understand all aspects of the job. The office contacted me to say the electrician could arrive early. The 2 electricians were professional knowledgeable and addressed my concerns. The ceiling fan installed by someone else was missing screws on the down rod as well as other things not done correctly. They replaced the missing screws, rebuilt the fan and reinstalled it. No more wobble. The 2 under cabinet light fixtures were installed perfectly, no extra cables showing. You get what you pay for and Cole Electric electricians do the job right the first time. I recommend this company and will use them again."

"They were amazing. The lights and vent came out great. Mr. Electric of Chesapeake went above and beyond in our project. Mr. Byron was the technician helping and he was very informative and had great communication with us during the project. I had to be in class and let them in the house they were honest and respectful of the house. Thank you again for a great job."

"The project went extremely well. Judy Sweetland, owner of Sweetland’s Heating and Air Conditioning, spent many hours with me prior to the installation. She performed a number of calculations to ensure I would be getting the correct size unit for the space I was cooling. She found problems with the original installation that needed to be corrected before the new unit could be installed. I was very appreciative that she took the time to explain everything she was going to do. The installers were prompt, professional. and friendly. They worked very diligently in hot conditions in my attic. Even Judy spent time in the attic correcting the original installer’s mistakes. She wanted to ensure that everything was up to code. The installers took great care to protect my property. Every time they came inside, they wore protective booties. They protected my carpet and bamboo floors. They were the neatest workers I have ever experienced. This company went above and beyond to provide a very high level of service. They treated me the way they would want to be treated."

"We initially hired TruPower to install some electrical outlets and recessed lights in a house we recently bought. The project ballooned into much more than that as we saw other things that needed attention. They painted our entire house interior, removed/replaced ceiling fans, installed undercounter lighting in the kitchen and even replaced our entire electric panel. Obviously, as we continued to add things to the list, we came to trust them and the quality of their work. We have been happy with everything they did. Everything. They are conscientious, skilled, and trustworthy. We would most certainly recommend them, and would hire them again in a heartbeat."

"Mike gave us a quote and the price was well below the other bids. Before he began, we discussed the details of the job and length of time it would take. After the vanities were installedand all the plumbing completed the job was complete. After my inspection I could not have been more satisfied with the outcome.Even the tiny details were done which rings of craftsmanship.I have and will continue to give them my endorsement and business."

Chandelier Installation FAQs, answered by experts

Wafer lights and can lights are both recessed lights, but each has its own unique look. Wafer lights have a thin housing that connects to wires directly. Can lights have a can-like structure and fit into the opening of a ceiling.

Wiring or installing a light the wrong way can lead to potentially dangerous scenarios, including shock and even electrical fires. If you’re the least bit uncertain whether you’ve wired something correctly, the best and safest approach is to call in a professional electrician to handle the installation for you.

Installation typically takes 1-3 hours per fixture. Larger projects may require additional time.

Low-voltage landscape lighting costs about $120 per fixture to install. You may need to install a 12-volt transformer, too, to ensure the lighting system runs safely. For a six-fixture low-voltage landscape lighting setup, expect to pay around $1,000. A major reason people choose low-voltage landscape lighting is to reduce the risk of shock, making it safer to operate the outdoor lighting system.

No, it's not hard to install a light fixture. If you have some electrical knowledge and a pre-wired installation location, it's possible to tackle it in an afternoon. Installing new wiring for the light fixture is best left to a professional electrician. Inept wiring can lead to a house fire or electrocution and invalidate your home insurance.
