"I called Murphy's and asked for their earliest available appointment on a weekday (no one wants to be late for working waiting for a repairman). They gave me a 7:00 - 8:00 window, and promised that I would be the first appointment of the day. I also asked if they would put in the breakers that I had bought, and they said that they would use mine as long as they were the correct type.
David showed up at 7:10, which I was ECSTATIC about. He was in a great mood, and got straight to business. He listened to me describe the problem, and went straight to the box. He immediately recognized the problem, and was great about explaining it to me and showing me what had happened and how it was affecting my other breakers. Turns out that the HVAC switch had an issue, and it was putting it off balance and pushing into the dryer switch, which was causing it to burn out.
I expected that the switches would have to be changed, so I had gone to the hardware store and purchased new switches (hoping that he would use them, because companies usually won't put in anything other than what they provided, and they'll upcharge you for the exact same thing that you could have bought). I showed him that I had bought the switches, and after looking them over he said that they were perfect and installed them.
David was fantastic, personable, and gave me a breaker box 101 tutorial if I ran into the issue again (although he recommended that I always call, because electricity is dangerous). He has a bachelors degree in electrical engineering, and is a certified electrician, so he definitely knew what he was doing. Absolutely wonderful experience, and would definitely use them again!

"Everything turned out well in the end. They had a few problems on the way but they fixed them. We’ve had them out for different things like the furnace, air conditioning and things like that. The main problem this time was, it wasn’t the same person that came out each time. One person made a mistake and then someone else had to come out and fix it. The person who made the mistake should have noticed they were doing something wrong. I don’t know if they were less experienced or if they didn’t pay attention or what it was. When we called and said there was a problem, they did get it corrected. They sent out somebody I guess with more experience and he took care of it. Overall I’m happy and would use them again. They did our furnace several years ago. I haven’t called or compared their prices to anyone. I have talked to friends who have had similar things done and they said the price is probably about right. It wasn’t a very professional way to did it though. I would use their services again in the future."

Since I can do most of my services remotely with you over the phone, I am hoping to eventually open up to larger markets and help people from having to take their computer in to get it fixed, if it has internet access, I can usually fix it over the Internet. I am my only employee, but I have over 20 years experience fixing computers, and providing superior customer service. I work on a flat rate service, and don't charge by the hour because I feel it's important to educate the customer on what the issue is/was, and how to avoid it in the future. I feel that local service companies (my competition) have been overcharging customers for years. I offer a first time customer discount of 10% but I will offer 15% off for first time customers referred by Angies List. I've lived in the Huntsville area most all my life, so I know the area very well. I will never use a subcontractor as I am very picky about making sure that if my name and company is associated with something, it will be the best experience my customer has ever had, and using sub contractors won't ensure that, so I prefer to do all the work myself. Lastly, I should point out that I am a former offensive lineman for the University of Southern Mississippi and was Brett Favre's center his freshman year at Southern. I went on to play for Tom Landry in his last year, but gave up pro football early on to pursue my passion of fixing computers. If I didn't have bills to pay, I would do this for free because I love it! If you have a computer problem, I promise you that you couldn't find a better technician that will care about you as a customer, and not about the bottom line. I am always available, but don't always answer my phone, but if you leave a message, I promise to back with you as soon as possible...and figure out how to get your issue resolved in a quick, efficient and economical manner. "Part of my disappointment with this provider may have been my overly high expectations, as I purchased a "Big Deal" coupon thinking this was for a whole house ductwork cleaning (after a kitchen renovation), which I have had done before by several other firms (usually costing about $350), and this was only to vacuum out the individual vents in each room -- only about 6 inches deep, which we regularly do when we vacuum, plus they vacuumed out the furnace box, which we do and my HVAC firm does each spring and fall, and it does not get very dirty since I have an electronic air cleaner and use special filters which I change regularly.
I also felt this firm used this opportunity to try and sell me more services (they wanted to disassemble my entire furnace box and electrical connections at that time to "clean it better" for several hundred dollars more, and I have had my HVAC firm for 30 years and they never tried to do something like that (they have always commented on how clean it was in there), plus this furnace was only 5 years old).
The work they did was OK, but the floor vents and furnace box were not that dirty.

HOUSE STARTED TO COOL, THEY DID A GOOD JOB AND IT WAS DONE THE SAME DAY,
I WILL CALL THEM EVERYTIME IF I NEED SERVICE ON MY HOME APPLIANCES OR
HVAC SYSTEM AGAIN.
THE TECHNICIAN WAS VERY PROFESIONAL HE TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN TO ME EVERY SINGLE THING THAT HE CHECKED AND SHOWED ME THE DEFFECTIVE PARTS, I COULD SEE THE CAPASITOR ALL INFLATED READY TO EXPLODE AND THE CONTACTOR WITH BLACK BURN SPOTS, TO ME THAT HE DID A GREAT JOB AND HE WAS VERY HONEST EXPLAINING ALL WHAT HE FOUND.
