"Our Furnace went out and a part was out. It took them over a week to get the needed part. The part was originally ordered off the manufacturer’s page. There was a delay and then they decided to order from another site and get the job done. B+"

"Tim and Don came out to remove the tube style chimney after we removed the gas fireplace. They patched and matched the roof shingles so well that I can't see the patch! Then they repaired some of the mortar joints on our brick porch. Excellent work guys! I highly recommend Olde Towne Chimney Sweeps."

"When they inspected my chimney they discovered that my chimney was was never rebuilt correctly, they took pictures that showed mortar was only partially applied and there were cracks . They filled in and sealed what was needed. They also advised me to have my chimney cleaned after burning a cord of word. They offered a warranty on their work and will keep a record of what was done with the pictures. I was pleased especially after I have had more the a few companies clean my chimney and even had one iinstall an insert and no one ever mentioned the condition of my chimney.

"Hired these guys to clean the chimney on a house I had bought to use as a rental property. Glad I did. They cleaned it, but also informed me that the chimney/fireplace was unsafe for use because of breaks internal to the chimney. That allowed me to cap off the gas line and tell any future tenant that the fireplace was unusable. Not a big deal in Houston, but a bad chimney could have created some major liability issues if I hadn't known about it.

"Highly recommend. Prompt, efficient, and professional. Cost for the service was very reasonable. I called Fire and Water to have my gas fire logs cleaned. They were very thorough and knowledgeable in servicing propane logs. I am comfortable that I can burn my logs without worrying about any issues coming up in the middle of the winter season."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

Built-in gas grills typically have a life span of 10 to 15 years. However, their longevity can vary based on quality, usage frequency, climate conditions, and maintenance routines. High-quality models made from durable materials tend to last longer. Additionally, regular cleaning, covering the grill when not in use, and conducting routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning burners and replacing worn-out parts can extend its life. A well-maintained built-in gas grill can provide excellent performance and memorable cooking experiences for a decade or more, making it a worthwhile investment for outdoor cooking enthusiasts.

All U.S. states require permits for gas grill installation, so you’ll have to get one before you move forward with your project. Permits help ensure that the gas line runs safely to avoid gas leaks and explosions. Gas line permits can usually also only be pulled by certified plumbers, which means you’ll have to hire a professional from the start. The permit for a gas line installation for a gas grill usually costs between $100 and $300. You can contact your installation company or building department for more accurate pricing.

The cost of a gas grill burner ranges from $10 to $100 or more, depending on the brand. If you’re replacing one burner, consider replacing all the burners simultaneously. Although it will cost more upfront, it will save you the hassle of replacing a burner every few months, and your grill will cook more evenly and efficiently.

Appliances typically connected to a gas line include gas stoves, water heaters, furnaces, and gas fireplaces. Essentially, any appliance in your home that uses gas needs to be connected to a gas line, which connects your home with the main gas line owned and operated by your gas company.

Propane sales companies typically offer propane delivery, tank installation and maintenance, grilling refills, and emergency support for supply interruptions.
