"Jeffrey came out to my sisters house to fix and replace the flooring in the kitchen and bathroom. He was absolutely fantastic and detail oriented. He created, cut, and stained a new floor transition for our wood floors right out of thin air and has every tool imaginable for remodeling. He’s been out early morning and late night. Just 10/10 fantastic!"

"I highly recommend Titan! Titan performed a highly quality job at an excellent price. They kept in contact with me, even when I wasn’t in the area. They were recommended to me by a neighbor who used them and was very satisfied. If needed, I will not hesitate to use Titan again."

"Our furnace motor was making a loud noise, and Chris Suttles came by and diagnosed the problem shortly after I called. He fixed the problem that afternoon, and the furnace is now quieter than it's ever been. I asked him to come by the next week and give the furnace a tune-up and clean the heating ducts. When Chris opened one of the supply ducts, he found the inside of the ducts had a sticky, oil-like coating. I decided to replace the ductwork, and he replaced all of the ductwork in 2 days. The air coming out of our vents is now cleaner, warmer, and stronger."

"I had Will come to the house on two separate occasions to install baby gates and to pressure wash the front porch. He did such a good job and I look forward to hiring him for any jobs in the future!"

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Expect excavation below grade, creating a well for access, weatherproofing, and thorough inspections during setup.

Universal design costs can be minimal when you add them during construction; however, adding universal design principles to existing homes can sometimes increase renovation costs. For example, a mid-grade bathroom remodel is estimated to cost around $30,000, while a standard universal design remodel can cost closer to $40,000. Adding accessible design components can include widening hallways ($500 to $2,000), curbless showers ($2,000 to $8,000), and widening doors ($400 to $800). Keep in mind that these increased costs can lead to higher resale values because universal homes may appeal to a wider variety of buyers.

When planning a general remodeling project, it's important to define the scope of work, understand your goals, and set a clear, detailed budget. You should also assess the current structure and consult with professionals like architects or contractors. Create a realistic timeline for each phase, obtain any necessary permits, and build in contingency plans for potential delays or unforeseen issues. Regular communication with all involved parties is crucial to streamline the process.

Costs depend on project complexity, materials, labor, permits, and required revisions.

While it’s never too early to start planning for a major home improvement project like a home addition, give yourself at least a month or two to plan and design your addition, find a contractor, and get the permits in order. For larger projects like a second-story addition that require designing with an architect, plan on three to four months of preparation.
