Had a job that required adding new subfloor, vinyl, and baseboards and Might Dad got it DONE. Where others would not work with us, he showed us what needed to be done, bought subfloor for us, and installed everything beautifully. Would recommend and will be contacting again if needed! Thanks Jeff!

He went to load and pick up the materials for us and look at the bedroom and he said that he will be back on Thursday of last week but he didn't show up, can't get in touch with him on the phone and he didn't callback. We won't use him again.

Fabulous! Bedrooms got new paint and light fixtures. One bedroom, loft and hallway got new carpet. One bedroom has a stunning wallpaper feature wall which Jeff framed beautifully as it is a work of art. The loft also has a feature wallpaper wall. Jeff even modified a bookcase so it would fit perfectly between a window and the loft rail. In the en-suite bathroom he created a huge walk-in shower with gorgeous tile work (see the picture). Both bathrooms got tile floors and new plumbing and light fixtures. I am thoroughly delighted with this Reno.

We hired Mighty Dad in late spring/early summer of 2020 to do the construction part of a deck remodeling job (plus the last not-insignificant demolition step that we didn't finish). He replaced the old weathered wood planking with composite material and railing, and worked around some challenging deficiencies in the original underlying deck frame so we wouldn't have to completely replace the entire structure at much higher cost. Jeff worked around our schedule and kept us apprised of any questions or unexpected things that came up. We're totally happy with the end result, and it should last for many enjoyable years with almost no maintenance!

We had a major leaking from a main water pipe behind the kitchen cabinets. Jeff had to remove the cabinets, broke the dry wall and replace the rusted water pipe. He did a pretty good job.

Fabulous! The scope of the work was huge and included footers, framing, a new roofline, roofing, guttering, matching siding to make the addition look seamless, the moving of a small upstairs window to accommodate the new roofline. On the inside, the carpet was removed and 3/4" oak hardwood flooring was added. New light fixtures were installed requiring rewiring and drywall work before painting the room and moulding. Inside the closet, the extension required a support beam which Jeff stained to match the wooden closet modules which he then installed. I cannot say enough about Jeff's work ethic and attention to detail. He never cuts corners and always offers options on how something can be done. He's a craftsman and a delight to work with.

Jeff replaced the peeling painted drywall porch ceiling with cedar planks which he custom stained to match the front door (which he also stained) . The can lights in the ceiling were replaced with closed LED fixtures..no more bug nest worries! I bought lovely new carriage lights but installing them required Jeff to create a mounting area out of cedar which he then framed with moulding and stained to match the door and ceiling. It looks awesome! Can I add a picture? You really need to see this! Every project that Jeff has done for us, big and small, has made our home more beautiful.

We were trying to sell a townhouse in Roanoke area and had some fixes to do, including replacing the old carpet in the basement. Since we no longer live in town, we had to rely on Jeff to get the whole project moving. From measurement to pickup the carpet, installation, cleanup, etc. Jeff did an excellent job. He cares about the details of the job. The price is very good. The quality is great. Highly recommended!

We are very pleased. Jeff's attention to detail is exactly what we paid for and desired. He communicates as things develop (and they will) and we completely trust him around our home and our dogs. He brought a teen daughter along on some of the tear down, flooring, and painting days . . . we were impressed to see a young lady working hard and learning a great trade/skill. Truth is, it did our hearts good!! We would say we highly recommend him, but that can be cliche'; instead, we'll share that we currently have him submitting a quote on another job. That should say it all!!!

This was a lengthy project that required a lot of repositioning of furniture throughout the project. Once scheduled, Mighty Dad gave us their full attention and time to complete this project by the deadline. There were a few minor issues once the old flooring was removed, but Mighty Dad went above and beyond to explain our options. Because of Mighty Dad's expertise and attention to detail, many creaks and noises were eliminated with the new flooring. Mighty Dad takes pride in the work performed. This is the second project Mighty Dad has completed for me and I would absolutely hire him again. Thanks!

This review is wayyy overdue. Mighty Dad completed the work within the time frame and kept me appraised of the progress along the way. I was very pleased with the finished work, and still enjoy the extra finished area today (07.2019). I have since hired Mighty Dad for a second project and was equally pleased with the end result. I can't believe how beautiful my home is now! The flooring was expertly laid which required new subflooring and extensive leveling in spots due to settling. There are new brilliant white baseboards and quarter rounds everywhere which really set off the dark oak hand scraped look flooring. My kitchen is gorgeous. We kept the old cabinets but updated the look with new hardware. The backsplash edges are finished with brushed nickel metal...so clean! Jeff tucked all the outlets and switches up underneath the cabinets. The rewiring required to do this was not simple! The grey granite composite sink matches the backsplash grouting and the veining in my quartz countertops. My itty bitty half bath looks fabulous with its lightly textured Sea Salt walls above a brilliant white wainscoting. A new light fixture and white wicker mirror finish the clean airy look. This was a huge project...and it didn't help that I kept adding to it, but Jeff patiently and expertly handled all my requests. He is a joy to work.

Jeffery had to do some major plumbing rework to get the kitchenette the way we wanted it. The results were perfect! We have hired Jeffery several times to include a complete bathroom remodel and drywall work. Totally satisfied with his work and will hire again.

Jeffery completely renovated this room, replacing ugly wood paneling and drop ceiling with beautifully done drywall walls and textured ceiling. Couldn't be happier!

Wonderful! Mighty Dad turned a dingy bathroom into a jewel. He tiled the floor, put in a beautiful tile shower and vanity. He also made closet doors to hide the airconditioning unit.

It is difficult to find the adequate words to describe my experience with Mighty Dad. Sp very beyond wonderful. A superhero that swooped in and absolutely Saved the Day. My previous “contractor” had lied and deceived and taken full advantage of my naivety (and ultimately absconded with close to $20,000.00), leaving me with an unfinished shell. After taking a few months to lick my wounds and find funds to finish the project, Jeff Phillips gave me a very reasonable quote to complete the addition. Once he began the work, there were many (many, many) problems with the structure that had been constructed to not meet state and city codes. Jeff worked with me on these and put things right. His installation of the insulation, drywall and all finishing touches was superb – he’s a real craftsman. And all along the way he would explain what was needed, offer solutions and get my input before moving forward. He also had some great ideas for the interior design aspects for tile, flooring and trim work concerns. His work is meticulous and he ensures that everything is done completely right. He never cuts corners. I am so pleased with the results!! It was a long road getting here, but I am now one happy homeowner. You can’t go wrong if you decided to go with Mighty Dad. Someone should sew a big MD on his shirtfront! I’m very lucky that he landed in my life.

My laundry room was a nightmare of badly arranged appliances, curling linoleum and patched drywall from the installation of a whole house on demand water heater. Jeff took the room down to the studs, rewired and replumbed as needed for the new arrangement. To make room for the plumbing he had to create a new wall an inch and a half inside the old one. He layed some lovely travertine tile, patched and painted the walls and ceiling and enclosed the big ugly water heating unit in a lovely cabinet with louvred door. He also put up a laundry room shelving and hanging rack unit that I purchased from Wayfair. It's beautiful!!

Jeff is very busy, so it took him a few weeks to work us in. I had told him this was not a rush job. However, he got back to me and arrived on the scheduled date. He also came prepared and finished both jobs in one day. He provided options for the work, and carefully explained his ideas. Both handrails are sturdy and meet our specifications.

Jeff always shows up when he says he will, is a perfectionist, with a reasonable price. He is a thorough professional, who works very hard and long hours, if needed. He seems to know how to do everything. My husband is very picky and a perfectionist himself. Jeff is one of the few contractors who has satisfied him in the past 25 years. Want it right with a contractor you can trust? Hire Mighty Dad.

We were very pleased with the work Jeffery did. For our guest house, he built us a closet from scratch and installed a kitchenette inside. The results were perfect. Just what we wanted. We will definitely hire again.

Jeff and his assistant worked exclusively on our project until its completion. The quality of the tile work is exquisite...all edges are covered in brushed nickel rondec which gives it a luxurious feel. They started with studs and water logged floor joists and created a fabulous spa solving numerous problems along the way. I was consulted on every detail which I really appreciated. I can't believe how beautiful it is! The pictures do not do it justice. Jeff at Mighty Dad Flooring and Home Repair has got to on your list when you get bids. If you have to wait (he is busy) it will be worth the wait!

Jeff was so easy to work with. He was willing to communicate with us via several methods, as we actually live 4 hours away. He worked consistently and contacted us anytime he had an issue or question. He kept us up to date by sending photos. He was very precise and he takes the utmost pride in his work. My husband is very particular and he trusted Jeff's instincts. We were thrilled with the end result and have been enjoying our new basement ever since. We will definitely use Mighty Dad for future repairs. We highly recommend him!
