"Worked with Steven on two interior projects - the installation of a Costco garage roof rack and later the installation of curtain rods throughout my home. Steven did a wonderful job and both projects were success. Very friendly, reasonable pricing, and would highly recommend Fredericksburg Decor Installation across a wide variety of projects."

"Dan is the EXPERT; we have used Dan in the past and would not consider any one else to paint our home; He responded to our email for estimate fairly promptly; came over & submitted e-mail estimate- he told us when in the our home to give estimate he was busy and we would need to wait for him to come over to paint our home- because of our love of his performance in past willingly waited for him-He would arrive early in the day- worked the full day making sure at the end of the day all was picked up & swept- things away-He is a non-smoker if that is important to you as a consumer-Dan takes pride in his work, obsessively making sure all was just right- I even changed colors on him after the first coat- no problem he just repainted the next day- Our bedroom, & bathroom closets had been painted dark brown by prior owner- after much prep & intense sanding the bathroom are now light & inviting-Dan is the expert in Expertise painting"

"Steve and his son Jason did a spectacular job!  They were prompt, efficient, and left everything spotless. It had been a really long time since I had my home power washed, so they had to work really hard to get everything clean.  Now, I can be proud of how my home will look for all my holiday visitors!  I highly recommend them for your power washing needs!!
In addition, when Steve was providing an estimate for me for the power wash job, we talked about his painting service. My screened-in deck really need work!  Anyway, I asked about interior painting of my ceilings, and ended up hired his painting crew to paint 4 of my ceilings. The ceilings were lifted (they were majorly drooping - about 1/2 an inch in the middle) by Ed Sawyer (another Angie's List person that I highly recommend for your drywall needs) back in June, and desperately need new paint.
When my husband took down the ceiling fans to make the ceiling ready for the painters, we discovered that the boxes for our ceiling fans had cracked the drywall, plus they be lifted up from the attic to make them work. Steve's painters (Chris and Russell) fixed the boxes and patched the drywall for us. They did such a great job of both and kept our hose so clean while they worked!  They're scheduled to paint on Monday (Sep 18th), and I'm fully confident that they're work will be excellent.  I'll do another review to let you know.

"Mikutin Enterprise exceeded my expections. The electrician, who happened to be the owner, arrived several minutes early. He immediately installed 30A service for my camper and wired my circuit box to accommodate my generator. Also all of my wiring for my television were neatly redirected behind the television. I could not believe the competitive pricing of Mikutin Enterprise. I would recommend Mikutin Enterprise to anyone seeking quality, reasonably priced electrical services."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

The direction you want your ceiling fan to move in depends on the season you’re in. During summer, you want it to move counterclockwise to produce a cooling downdraft. During winter, you want it to move clockwise to circulate warm air throughout the room.

There are many types of ceiling fans available, each designed for different spaces and needs. Standard ceiling fans are the most common type and work well in most rooms. Low-profile ceiling fans are better suited for rooms with low ceilings. Smart ceiling fans can be controlled with a smartphone or voice commands. For larger spaces with ceilings between 10 and 25 feet high, large ceiling fans are ideal. Dual-motor fans have two motors to produce more airflow in multiple directions. You can also find energy-efficient or Energy-Star models that can be up to 60% more efficient, as well as fans with built-in lights or retractable blades.

The number of blades for your fan poses both advantages and disadvantages. Typically, the more blades on a fan, the better the air distribution and cooling effect, but this also means that your fan will have more wear on its motor. For small rooms, three-blade fans should work fine. For larger areas like living rooms, four or five-blade fans might be the better option.

If your ceiling fan is humming, that's usually a sign of an electrical issue. A low-pitched grinding sound could be caused by the motor or a lack of lubrication in the bearings, but a true humming sound will be caused by a failing capacitor or faulty wiring. Unless you have experience with electrical issues, you should call a pro for any ceiling humming noises.

Yes, you can run an attic fan with the AC on. In fact, you don’t have a choice with a passive attic fan. Plus, when an attic fan draws out hot air from the attic, it helps regulate the temperature of your whole home, so your AC doesn't have to work as hard.
