"Nothing but great things to say about their work. They have done work in two of our houses and always extremely professional and great results. On our first house Rocael completely remodeled our 1950's bathroom and did great tile work. On our second house he added a small deck for our grill which looks great and a fence/gate. He also remodeled our entire basement. Installing new drywall and insulation, new exterior/interior doors, new bathroom remodel (with excellent tile work) - Did duct work, and demo entire existing plaster ceiling and replaced it with drywall and added can lights. Created a nook under the stairs with great wood work, and also a great paint job throughout. Rocael also will make sure you are happy with the work he's done, and would make any adjustments if needed."

"We have worked with Balteza Property Services on several home projects and they are always wonderful! Theyâ ve painted our wood paneled room (and fixed issues along the way), repaired damaged drywall in and painted our kitchen, painted our front door, repaired a damaged hallway wall, installed an outlet, and installed a light fixture. They are easy to schedule, we trust them to work on projects while weâ re away, and the end result always surpasses expectations. Happy to work with again in the future and to recommend."

"Alex was punctual and definitely charged a fair price for fixing a hole in the ceiling that the plumber put to diagnose a leak. He educated me on the work he was about to do, then fixed the drywall and repainted it like brand new. Excellent work. Would definitely hire again."

"I had a burst pipe on Christmas Day. Mark was able to come out and assess the damage and walked me through what he and his crew were going to be able to do starting that upcoming Tuesday. I will say that everyone that works for Mark is professional and they are very careful about cleanup and making sure that nothing gets damaged. My latest project included: water and mold remediation, new pipes, new outside spigots, new drywall, baseboard, crown molding, and painting. Mark's crew put all of my furniture back where it was and then even hung back up my curtains."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Most handy homeowners can tackle removing texture from unpainted walls. Removing texture from painted walls is a bit trickier. Paint acts as a sealant, so you can’t soften the texture with water. Instead, you’ll have to add a layer of drywall compound known as a skim coat. This process is messy and takes some practice.

Wall anchors are suitable for drywall and plaster walls, which are common in most homes. However, different wall materials may require specialized anchors. For concrete or masonry walls, you'd typically use concrete anchors. When dealing with other wall types, such as brick or tile, specific anchors designed for those materials may be necessary. Always consult with a hardware specialist or check the manufacturer's recommendations to ensure you select the appropriate anchors for your specific wall type.

It doesn’t matter which way you lay drywall, and you can choose to install it horizontally or vertically depending on the size of the wall and how tall the ceiling is. It’s easier to lay drywall sheets vertically if you have a taller ceiling, but laying sheets horizontally makes it easier to apply joint compound.

Professionals mount TVs using specialized tools and knowledge of different wall materials, ensuring safe support.

Drywall can get wet and dry out without sustaining permanent damage, but only if the water damage is minor. If you have a small leak and are quick to correct the issue and set up blower fans and dehumidifiers, your drywall should dry out. If the leak is persistent, the drywall becomes totally waterlogged, or mold begins forming on the drywall, you should remove and replace it.
