"G R Scantling Drywall & Framing were very responsive from the start, calling me weekly to check on the status of my project to schedule the hangers as quickly as possible. They set up the drywall order for me, which I called in to completed (their supplier saved me about $40 over Lowes for XP Purple board). The job was completed in two days (one day hanging, one day tape and mud), was done professionally and well. Super nice guys to boot. Would not think about using anyone for drywall in this area."

"This worked out great. Richard followed up on my request right away and set up an appountment for the following day. He said to buy the locks I want (he made some brand recommmendations) and he would work with whatever choices I wanted. When he arrived I actually had additional locks I was hoping to install, along with a keypad lock and he not only had no problem with the change in plans but took the time to explain everything he was doing and why (some damage to the doors required a change of plans). He took his time, listened to my requests and did great work. Overall this was fast, friendly service and I felt his price was very fair. Would 100% use Richard again without hesitation."

"The two men who came to install an outside motion light on our home were wonderful. They arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently, and were professional and polite in their demeanor. We had ADT security here at the same time, and they worked around them with no problem. I will definitely use them again."

"The work was done with a high level of craftsmanship and the price was very competitive and reasonable. The owner is a very personable individual that was quick to response to my initial email to setup a time for a quote. We needed to get the steps and the sidewalk installed prior to Christmas; as we have a handicap family member coming and it was difficult for her to get into the house. Although they were very busy, Alan managed to work our project in over an extended weekend and in between their other preexisting projects. I would highly recommend A.W. Masonry & Restoration to anyone, and I would use them again."

"Matt worked hard to get the dishwasher we wanted installed in our existing kitchen. We had another business come out for a quote and they said the project wasn't possible, but Matt did it! We were absolutely thrilled with his professionalism, persistence, and obvious care in his work and will absolutely use him again for future projects."

"The estimate was way out of our price range, and we had already scheduled with another mover, because they were much less expensive, partially due to a different price model-- no fees per mile, which cuts down on what I consider significant costs. However, I feel compelled to give them a great review, because the estimate email that Amanda sent was a terrific example of thoroughness and professionalism, and that, if done right, prospects don't have to become customers to still become fans of your company.
First of all, I received the very detailed quote after 10pm on a Sunday, so responding to my inquiry was obviously important to Amanda. That sort of thing matters to me.
Second, my inquiry was detailed and long-- and, frankly, probably tedious. But Amanda made it clear that she had read it, because she explained, in informative (non-tedious) detail, five factors that went into the calculation of my estimate, which were specific to our situation. I think that's terrific.
Finally, she gave some great suggestions to save time on moving day. Now, that may not mean much to some people, but for me, it does. Moving is my KRYPTONITE. I hate it. Abhor it. Dread it like nothing else in the world. So anything that adds value to my planning strategy, like suggestions from a professional moving company, helps me feel better about what feels like an unsurmountable task. That is invaluable to me, and I really appreciate it.
It's rare to receive a "first touch" from a company that leaves such a positive impression. I think it says a lot about the company, and it makes me want to encourage those for whom the tightest of tight budgets aren't the biggest concern to absolutely get in touch with them to see if they meet your needs. If price wasn't an issue, I'd want to give them my business.

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Most ceiling fans have a lifespan of anywhere from five to 15 years or 10 years on average. Just how long your ceiling fan lasts depends on the quality of the parts, how much it’s used, and how well you maintain it. A fan with a weak motor that runs on the medium setting nonstop is likely to have a shorter lifespan compared to a fan with a powerful motor that runs on the slowest setting for air circulation.

Fan power is measured by CFM, or cubic feet per minute. For every 1,000 feet of square footage in your attic, you need a minimum of 700 CFM. Steeper roofs may need larger fans or about 840 CFM.  You can figure the size of attic fan you need by multiplying the square footage of your attic floor by 0.7. (multiply by 1.2 for a steep roof and 1.15 for a dark roof). That number is the CFM required for your fan to run efficiently.

Yes, ceiling fans come with a few other features that help with function, style, and convenience. Multi-speed fans can give you specialized control over the airflow. Consider getting one with an integrated light to save ceiling space. Some ceiling fans come with a remote control that enables you to change direction without climbing a ladder. Of course, you can also consider installing a wall switch to enjoy that convenience.

While ceiling fans are built for regular use, running them continuously without breaks can lead to overheating and wear over time. If your fan has a thermal shutoff feature, it may stop running to protect the motor. To extend their lifespan, it’s best to turn fans off when they’re not needed.

The number of blades for your fan poses both advantages and disadvantages. Typically, the more blades on a fan, the better the air distribution and cooling effect, but this also means that your fan will have more wear on its motor. For small rooms, three-blade fans should work fine. For larger areas like living rooms, four or five-blade fans might be the better option.
