There were additional charges. I think it was at least hundred additional dollars that I wound up paying for what I wanted. It was probably less than 5 miles that we had to travel. They handled the furniture very well. But, I thought the additional charges were a bit much. Overall they did a great job because they were moving some delicate stuff. But, the pricing wasn't clear. The work was good and everything was good. The price was a little misleading. They moved a huge China cabinet with a lot of glass.

They arrived a bit later than we had agreed to due to some unforseen issues with the truck. However once they arrived, the crew went to work and did a fantastic job in getting all of our stuff out of the old place and into the new. They even made an extra effort to get our treadmill out of the basement of the town house and into the truck. The move ended up taking abut 8 hours or so, but they worked through some unexpected snow and did a great job. I should note, that I dont remember the exact price that I paid. I used a combination of an Angie's list big deal and then paid extra hours on top of that. The total was around 1000, but might have been a bit lower or higher.

Everything was performed as promised with no surprises and with exceptional efficiency.  Would highly recommend and plan on being a return customer.

The men were very nice and polite but the move did not go well at all. The deal was for 5 movers and the truck for 5 hours. This seemed like a sufficient amount of time. It was a small house and the apt was only about a mile and a half away. 
But things went awry. I do not want to list all the messed up things that happened that day.  The worse example of note was the refrigerator. Keep in mind 2 years before movers moved the refrigerator into this house. But they took a lot of time trying figure out how to move the refrigerator. They ended up taking it apart and when I got set up in my new place the refrigerator never worked again.
All in all they seemed to be inexperienced and unorganized. I ended up paying them an additional 3 hours for the day which I feel was due to their lack of knowledge and efficiency. 
I would not recommend them.

Motivational Movers is all about customer service in our opinion. The crew they sent was professional, courteous, very careful, and freaking strong. Our sofa could not fit in the apartment's elevator so they carried it up six flights of stairs without missing a beat.  I don't think their guys even sweated while moving it. We assumed we would be charged extra for this unforeseen situation, but they did not even attempt it.

Very happy with them. We are repeat customers.

It was good. There was a little issue at the end where the workers were not happy with their managers. There were too many people who showed up. There were like two managers on sight and like 3 or 4 people to move and the managers just kind of stood around and took note. I mean they did a fine job and the actual workers were great. I gave tip money to the managers to hand out to everybody and they kept more than they should have. They charged by the hour.

It went terrible. The movers were on time and a couple of them were pretty hardworking and pleasant but the quality of the job was truly horrifying and the amount of time they took was beyond any estimate. I feel bad for the couple of guys that were really trying hard while the others were definitely not working at full speed.  Yet most importantly, they did a terrible job putting the furniture back together and taking care of not ruining it or my home. By the end of the move, my just refinished hardwood floors had been scratched in several places, this after paying extra for protection for the floor. My newly painted walls had been damaged and several pieces of furniture had been scratched or broken. In particular, my baby's crib and a twin bed had been assembled so badly they were actually broken. I contacted their insurance company and they were quite responsive, but they only covered the cost of the floors and the painting. I would definitely tell people to stay away from this company.

We were moving from a two-bedroom apt in Prince George's County to a three story town-home in Anne Arundel County. 
Amanda and her team arrived within the time-range that morning and introduced themselves to me. Everyone was very polite and engaging. She went over the estimate with me ahead of time and informed me what time they would be starting the clock on our move. 
After walking through our apartment the supervisor decided on the best way to go about the move. Amanda went down to pack the truck. I like that at all times she was in the truck with our stuff, I have watched many moving companies at our apartment complex that left other peoples possessions unsupervised while the moving team was up in the building. After figuring out the best course of action they started the clock. The team worked well together and took care to protect and safely move our furniture and boxes. The supervisor was constantly motivating his team to work hard but to be careful. I offered to assist with some of the dismantling of certain furniture/electronics as I had better knowledge of how they worked. They always went out of their way to help me and make the situation as easy as possible. We had a storage room in another building that needed to be emptied, and while my father and I brought the boxes from there to our apartment, the moving team made a point to quickly get the boxes moved off the cart we were using so we could quickly return to clear the storage room.
As incentive, I offered to purchase lunch for the team after the load, but they requested to wait until the entire move was done in order to not make their crew lazy ( I respect this!). 
Once loaded the truck made it successfully to our new home, and the unloading proceeded. They were extremely efficient in unloading the truck and placing boxes/furniture in the appropriate locations in our town-home. Even the complicated items (King mattress/extremely heavy platform bed-frame/large couch, giant L desk, big wardrobe) were handled without complaint. They walked some of the items all the way around the block in order to bring them into the back. 
I expected the unload to take at least 3 more hours then it actually did, and they only went 15 minutes over the estimate that they provided. 
Throughout the entire long day the humor, energy, and professionalism of the entire crew was maintained and went a long way to making our moving day successful. At the end of the day I picked up dinner which was greatly appreciated. 
Overall, everyone was outstanding, and all of us were impressed by the service provided. I would not think twice about recommending this company, as they are by far the best mover's I have had the pleasure of working with after 7 previous moves over the years.

The guys did a great job. On time and organized.

Two GREAT gentlemen showed up on time to begin a long day of moving and re-arranging BIG furniture in our home.  My daughter and I tagged and provided direction as what was to go where.  They men were wonderful, making this tedious and stressful job, fun!  At the end of the task, we identified one more piece of furniture that we wanted moved, at the last minute, and they were so gracious and helpful.
I will most definitely hire this moving service again!  They were great.

They were definitely motivated and ready to move all the boxes and furniture. They were really rough with the furniture and did not handled the furniture as I would have liked. They also tracked mud and dirt throughout the house did not bother to lay any type of plastic or protection for the floors.

Wonderful. I will always use and recommend this company because they get the job done and everything is taken care. The staff is professional at all times and no one sitting around chatting or texting on their phones. Great job fellows.

The cost was reasonable.  They were good.  1.54 to 1.55.  They took care of everything and it was a short move.  They were professional and responsive.
