"Avoid them...their own intall tech walked into my house, looked at the work order and -incredulously- declared to me that 'whoever wrote this up...they were probably new. But this isn't going to solve your problem". That ACTUALLY HAPPENED. Drying Company completely botched the job. They failed to finish the work (offered some laughable small credit instead) and then sought civil remedy for an amount I don't owe. Oh, and they kept the deposit. To summarize: THEY BOTCHED A JOB AND THEN SUED THEIR OWN CUSTOMER. I was going to let sleeping dogs lie but now I'm going to use every consumer digital megaphone available. Just look at the photo! They were hired to spray foam my crawl space!! That's what they left...They claim this crawl space has been mitigated for pipes freezing."

"Beware of long term service requirement to get any help. Nearly $12K on a whole home generator, but they will not come out to help unless you are part of their long term service contract plan. Their system is set up like "Pay to Play". Continue paying the monthly/yealy price to be a part of the exclusive service club or they will make you wait a week for help. Safety of system is irrelevant, you either join their service club or you are out of luck. Spend your money elsewhere unless you are willing to continue feeding the PIG to get service."

"Terrible company. They are not upfront about cost of services and tack on additional fees without informing you. This is a company that is only after the money and hook you into a contract. The product is not even very effective. I have watched them perform the service via my home security system while I have been away and the yard guard is a joke. They casually apply it around the perimeter of your home, but isn't it intended to guard your entire yard? This company is a joke. Never again."

Monolithic slabs don’t require insulation, but many homeowners choose to have their contractors install insulation under the slab during construction. Slab foundations are more energy-efficient than uninsulated crawl spaces and basements, and insulated slab foundations are more energy-efficient than insulated crawl spaces and basements.

Insulating an unheated garage can still be worth it. For instance, insulating an attached garage can help with heat loss from your house in general, and it can also make it easier to store electronics in your garage without worrying about them being exposed to extreme temperatures.

If you use your detached garage as a workspace, insulation can still make a difference. Plus, you can use space heaters and a window unit AC to help condition the space while you work without installing heating.

Spreading tin foil over your windows works similarly to radiant barrier insulation, but not as well. It will reflect some of the sunlight that would otherwise come through the glass and warm up the inside of your home, so it might help a little to keep your home cool in the summer. If you have blown-in insulation, using an insulation vacuum will quickly and easily suck up all the insulation. Many come with built-in HEPA filters for added safety. While some people suggest breaking up large batts and feeding them into the vacuum, this can expose you to more fiberglass fibers. With batts and rolls, carefully removing them and placing them into garbage bags is a better process.
