"Excellent work quality and customer service! VisionQuest did an absolutely outstanding job constructing and installing two walls of bookshelf cabinets with a library ladder. Conrad Snow listened to what we requested and emailed sketches of the anticipated work and a competitive cost estimate within hours. He answered every question and provided options and solutions for corner construction and electrical outlets. Conrad Snow and his team are very customer service oriented, coordinating measurements and color samples every step of the way. He discussed molding and construction details with us, making adjustments as requested. VisionQuest worked 11-hour days to finish the cabinets over the weekend to be able to install them before the Thanksgiving weekend. The cabinets fit perfectly and look very professional with a durable, silky-smooth, non-stick finish and adjustable shelves. The ladder was custom-finished to coordinate with the hardwood floor. The entire process was very professional and we absolutely love our library. VisionQuest is located in Alexandria and our library installation was in Haymarket, which is an hour drive without traffic. "First late me state up front that everyone at Granite Works Countertops was friendly and pleasant to work with.  This includes both the folks in the office and the workers in the field. 
In 2007-2008 I had my kitchen expanded and remodeled by Allan Homes Unlimited.   In on December 15, 2013 the kitchen sink collapsed. (I should write up Allan Homes Unlimited regarding this issue)
I called my favorite plumbers first thing on Monday. They indicated that they would need countertop experts to remount the sink first.  So I used Angie's list and found Granite Works Countertops.
I called their office to describe the issue and schedule a time for the repair.  Unfortunately due to the holiday rush of people wanting their countertop work done prior to Christmas the earliest date they could come was December 23rd.  Due to the holidays my work time was also constrained so they offered to call me at work when leaving their prior work site so I could leave and meet them at my home.  This was a wonderful accommodation as I was able to fulfill my work requirements AND get my sink fixed.
The only negative issue was that this was a two person job and they only sent one person.  He was great, but he could have used another set of arms.   I helped as best I could but my back is not in the best of shape.
This next section includes some issues but I do not see them as against Granite Works Countertops as there was no other way to perform the work.
Due to the sink configuration they were unable to use the preferred technique of bolting the sink to the countertop. Instead he constructed side braces to the cabinetry and held the sink up with a spare piece of wood while the glue dried.  Sadly this results in screw's coming through the sides on the inside of the cabinetry, but there was no other option.  I was advised that the wood holding up the sink while the glue cured, could be removed, but would be better if left in place.
Also, should the sink fail again, I should have plumbers come to remove all the plumbing work so that their is room to install the sink with a better mechanism (undercounter bolts).
The work is complete (and the plumber has since repaired the drain damage) and I am mostly satisfied with the results.  Ideally the job would have been done differently, but that was not an option at the time.
I would be happy to use Granite Works Countertops again..

"I was interested in getting new kitchen cabinets, but I did not want to make any changes in the current layout.  I found out that refacing was the best option for what I wanted based on need and cost.  They were very efficient and professional.  I was very pleased with my new cabinets.  The only downside to the new cabinets are the brackets that hold the drawers are not equip to hold much weight.  So, the company has to come out to reinforce the drawers after installation."

"The provider arrived on time.  I was only interested in a partial remodel -- that it, the addition of some cabinets to my kitchen.  He quickly drew up an estimate (which was quite a bit higher than a similar job done by Home Depot several years ago).  Frankly, I began to wonder why I had paid someone to give me an estimate.  Oh well.  Maybe if you're having a major reconstruction job it would be worth it."

"Great! He arrived on time, with the right amount of crew, tools and positive attitude! He was very experienced with Ikea cabinets and knew when we had purchased the wrong items. He also knew when to send me back to Ikea for different parts. Ikea made alot of mistakes and he knew that was common. He wrote down the numbers of the items i needed which was extremely helpful. He and his crew were fantastic and i would hire him again in the future. His prices were very reasonable and i appreciated that. I had two glass doors that were on back order so he said i could hold back $200 from his pay until they czme in. I called him on Sunday and told him i just picked them up. He told me they would be there on Monday morning to finish the job. Of course he arrived on time and he finished the job quickly. Of the 4 companies i hired to do various things in my kitchen his was the only one i didnt have issues with. I asked him to install the lights inside and underneath the cabinets and install the microwave. The lights were difficult but he worked hard until they were done. They make the whole kitchen shine! He was extremely reasonable with the microwave installation price. I asked him for several cards and already passed them out to people that wanted a new kitchen i told them he is the best installer i ever hired. He made this overwhelming project so much easier."
