"I called E-Tec at the referral of another Angie's List contractor I'd already selected to install attic insulation. I spoke with them on Thursday after 5:00 PM, and they had their electrician to my home first thing Monday. Krys was great. He took time to investigate the possibilities for an attic fan and explained my options, which were limited due to the attic configuration. He then installed 3 ceiling fans, which took the better part of the day. He also installed 2 motion sensor lights which weren't on the original work order. One fan was a bit noisy when installed and we discussed whether to replace it. I opted not to. Two weeks later, that fan became really noisy, so Krys came back out to fix the problem. E-TEC charged just the base installation cost for this work, which I feel was fair. The only problem I had was a math error on the original invoice (which I should have caught earlier) but Nicole at E-TEC helped get that corrected within a day of my phone call back to the company."

"I was very impressed with the service. I am a photography student so I work with a lot of heavy weight programs and very large files. I also do a ton of research along with my school work. After one year of using my brand new laptop for school, I had NO space left on my computer, it was crashing constantly, files were corrupting, and of course, everything was taking forever to load. They were very prompt, diagnosed the issues with my computer, then gave me options on how it could be repaired and modified to accommodate my needs, along with price quotes for each option. "It is a waste of money. The great majority of people are not going to find any value out of the service. If you need design consultation, you need a full service consultation. If you already have knowledge and experience, and you just need to get a few ideas, then you don't need to pay for that. You can just get a magazine or a book since you already have the knowledge of basic designs in your head or a little bit of experience. To have someone call you and give you information over the phone, you are not getting the personal service that you need. You may as well take the money $49 and apply it to something else like getting someone else to come out and give you the service that you need. Because, you are not getting much, you are not getting anything at all. They are going to have you do the work. After talking to them and I was talking to other home designers, I found out that that was a waste of time and waste of money. I gave them a C because they didn't fail at what they do but they don't offer any value for what they do. There's not much value to it. The cost was fair. They didn't do a terrible job and the cost isn't terrible, it was only $49. It just has a very low value. For responsiveness I gave them a B because they will answer your phone and answer your emails."
