Mr. Juan Ortiz was the company representative, and we found him to be extremely knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. The repointing took approximately 7½ hours, and the results were exceptional. They carefully removed the old mortar, and the new mortar was matched perfectly to the existing brickwork. The bay window walls look like new again! They also completed a thorough safety inspection of our gas fireplace and did an excellent job cleaning the glass and fireplace. "He cleaned out our fireplace and chimney. And walked us through how to use it safely. He was patient with questions and knowledgable and helpful and friendly and smart. 
We are new home owners and this is our first time being able to use a fire place in a home that we own. He told us what we need to buy and what to watch for (a piece of glass in our fireplace door is falling out) and he showed us lots of things (like how to close the floo and such. He is also a firefighter and answered my questions about our fire alarm and things. He did a great job and was patient.

"Manuel did a thorough inspection first, both from inside the house and from the roof. He took pictures of it on his phone to show us the problem. He suggested what was needed and gave us a complete estimate. He came with a helper and worked for two days putting in a liner, insulating the liner, removing old crumbling tiles He replaced the back wall of the fireplace with brick, replaced our old damper with an energy saving one, and applied a water repellent. He protected all of our furniture and flooring as needed. He cleaned up when he finished. He called before coming on the days scheduled, and if he was going to be a bit late, he called to let me know when he would arrive He and his helpers were polite and helpful. We definitely chose the right person for the job, and will call him again if we should ever have another chimney problem or when we need our chimney cleaned."

"The worker told me that the inside of the chimney had deteriorated seriously and needed a liner.  So that was a significant additional purchase.  Used a different company the following year, and that worker told me the liner was not installed properly.  It is impossible to say what actually is the case.  I do not have enough knowledge to know.
