"I had a time slot that they were going to start which was 1:15 - 3:15pm. Rotor Rooter called about 3:15 pm asking if it was alright that they dispatched the service technician to our house which was strange since I arranged to be at home between 1:15 - 3:15 for them to start.

Once Jeff arrived, he was very professional and started immediately replacing the hot water heater. I have a 2 1/2 year old son and he did so much as to warn me that he would be making some noise. He was very easy to talk with and was able to answer all our questions. Since it was getting a little late, I suggested he could come back tomorrow to finish the toilets. He ended up doing that and came back the next day to finish both toilets. I am so glad I didn't try this myself. For him these were probably easy installs, but, he was able to know what other supplies and tools were required to complete the job correctly. I would have been lost and wasted all sorts of time.

I will call Rotor Rooter again for my plumbing needs

"I attempted to change out the inside of a 24 year old toilet myself. I got to the removal of the very last bolt and could not get it loose. I had to have this toilet in working order by the time I had to go to work on Friday. I contacted HomeAdvisor for the first time; they recommended Rotor-Rooter and I was contacted within 30 minutes by the company. Within 2 hours the plumbers arrive and finished installing the toilet parts and were done within an hour. They were extremely polite and I would HIGHLY recommend using this company for anything you need. Prices were fantastic as well."

"I highly recommend RCR Plumbing! José and Carlos were amazing?professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. They replaced a toilet and repaired a section of sewer line under my house. They responded quickly, completed the work efficiently, and kept everything clean inside my home. Their pricing was extremely fair, and the quality of their work was excellent. Toilets questions, answered by experts

Some of the most common plumbing repairs are certainly no small issues. The good news is that plumbers typically deal with these problems frequently and have the parts and tools ready to take care of them quickly and efficiently. These common problems include:

  • Clogged drains: $75–$250

  • Clogged toilet: $125–$300

  • Bathtub and shower: $100–$600

  • Faucet or showerhead: $200–$350

  • Sink pipe: $200–$500

  • Toilet repair: $150–$400

The cost to install a new toilet typically runs from $225 to $530. This doesn’t include the price of the toilet itself, which can cost $90 to $1,500 depending on the model and features you choose. You can save money if you choose to install a toilet yourself. However, you might want to hire a pro for this project.

"Due to the many complexities of replacing a toilet flange, it is typically a job best left to the pros," says Jeff Botelho, Angi Expert Review Board member and plumber. "Many times it isn't as simple and straightforward as 'pop off the old one and pop on a new one' because the flange is either glued on (PVC/ABS), soldered on (brass/copper), or caulked in place with a lead & oakum joint (cast iron) and none of these things can be easily reversed without years of training and repetitive practice."

The toilet flange anchors to the subfloor, usually with wood screws or cement screws, but most of it should sit above floor level at full height. When a flange is flush with the subfloor or below it, it can lead to the creation of leak paths.

For best results, you should remove the toilet in a bathroom before removing tile or installing new tile. If you don’t remove the toilet, it will be harder to fully waterproof the tile around the toilet, which could increase the risk of mold growth or plumbing leaks. If you have trouble removing the toilet, hire a plumber to help.

You generally cannot replace a 10-inch rough-in toilet with a 12-inch model without making significant plumbing updates. A 12-inch rough-in toilet will not fit a 10-inch rough-in space because the floor drain is in the wrong position. To accommodate the larger toilet, you would need to move the drainpipe, which could cost between $0.75 and $30 per linear foot, plus labor. In most cases, it is more cost-effective and simpler to purchase a new 10-inch rough-in toilet. However, it is possible to install a 10-inch rough-in toilet in a 12-inch space by using a longer connector.
