"The crew from ACE was on time, and as I was not able to be at home during the job;  Jim set it up that his crew would call me 45 mins prior to finishing,  so I could get home to pay them.  It worked out great!   The lawn and beds are totally free of debris.   Thanks to all at ACE

"About ten days later, Andrew and a crew of 4-6 men (at various times) arrived promptly,  They began by replacing and raising two window wells and adding additional dirt and gravel.  An area near the basement room with the mold problem required raising the ground to redirect water away from the house, which they did.
About six gutter drain spouts had water redirected away from the house toward or all the way to the surrounding woods.  Classic Drainage dug troughs, laid pipe, and connected the pipe to the gutter spouts.  In addition, Classic Drainage installed a consolidated pipe that directs water from one gutter spout and our sump pump to the wooded area.  Several of the pipes were 8-15 feet in length.  One was installed under the sidewalk in the front of the house.  The results are that several eyesores were addressed, water is now being redirected as it should, and the whole drainage system looks modern and up to date.  Soil, grass seed and hay were placed
on top of the trenches where pipes were installed.  In addition, the crew took care to ensure that the existing lawn sprinkler system was not damaged in any way, and even adjusted some of the sprinkler piping to better direct water.
In all, the work took three visits over about 18 hours total.
We are extremely pleased with the quality of the work, the expertise that Andrew and his crew clearly demonstrated, and the efficiency and effectiveness of their work.  We highly recommend Classic Drainage!"

"The job went smoothly. The contractor responded promptly to my inquiry about the project & provided a detailed estimate in a timely fashion. Many of the companies I contacted about this job either did not respond to my inquiry or never delivered a bid. Emerald really stood out in this regard, which says a lot about the contractors in this line of work. The estimated date to begin the job was pushed back by around a month, but I was warned this might happen. The crew that did the job worked hard. Their English language skills did not match their stonework skills, so I had to relay my questions about it through Margie in Emerald's office, who is quite responsive. The final product looks good. A neighbor who oversees construction projects for a living looked it over & said it was done properly, so I assume it will not fall over like its predecessor. I would definitely hire this company again."

Lawn Irrigation questions, answered by experts

Routine lawn care costs between $50 and $250 per service, with an average of around $100. Most homeowners need one service per week through the spring and summer, and many switch to snow removal services in the winter. The price you’ll pay will depend on a few different factors:

  • Size of your lawn

  • Complexity of your lawn layout and obstructions

  • Requested services

  • Home’s location

  • How quickly your grass grows

There are several best practices you can do to keep your lawn looking healthy. Knowing when to water grass is among the most important. Having your sprinkler timer set to early morning is best because it gives your grass and plants enough time to absorb water before the sun and wind can evaporate it. To maximize a sprinkler’s impact, aerate your lawn once or twice per year. Doing this achieves better absorption and stronger root systems for your grass.

Yes, especially for properties focusing on curb appeal. A well-maintained landscape supports visual and environmental attractiveness, potentially increasing desirability.

DIY solutions often lack precise formulation and distribution, potentially leading to lawn damage. Professional treatments optimize results with targeted applications.

Yes, you can overseed your lawn without aerating it, but results may vary. If you have the time, dethatching or aerating your lawn before overseeding will yield the best results. Overseeding your lawn without aerating will work, but less seed will take root. For the best possible results, aerate your lawn before overseeding it.
