"My wife and I purchased a charming brick ranch home from the 1970s with dreams of transforming it into our ideal living space. Our first project was opening up the kitchen/family room to the living room by removing a load-bearing wall—definitely not a DIY job. We posted our project on Angie’s List and were soon contacted by Isai Huezo, owner of Huezo’s Construction LLC. On Monday, a professional crew of four, led by a foreman, arrived promptly at 7:00 AM and got straight to work. They were not only highly skilled but also incredibly polite, keeping the work area immaculate during the demolition. By the second day, the team had seamlessly removed the remaining 2x4s, installed a robust lintel beam, and perfectly matched the drywall and trim to the rest of the house. We also had an outdated picket wall around the basement stairs. Isai recommended modernizing it with a sleek 3-foot wall, and it was completed within the three-day timeframe. Thrilled with their exceptional work, we discussed adding a dream screen porch and deck. The estimate was too good to pass up, so we went ahead. The results were nothing short of spectacular. The screen porch was beautifully integrated with the roof joists, and the deck, built on sturdy 6x6 posts and attached to the house, was a masterpiece. The porch featured custom wiring for lights, a ceiling fan, and outdoor floodlights, with a stunning tongue-and-groove pine ceiling stained in a glossy walnut finish. When we realized our old appliances didn’t match the newly renovated space, Isai went above and beyond, helping us select and purchase new appliances and offering to install them. Huezo Construction exceeded our expectations in every way with their exceptional craftsmanship, incredible value, and the wonderful camaraderie we developed with Isai and his crew. "When I removed a large mirror from over my fireplace, there was bare plywood and no drywall behind it. This was a task that I did not wish to try myself. I added my requirements to "HomeAdvisor" and within a couple of hours I had a response from Doug Canada. We made arrangements for him to come and look at the job and to get his estimate. After we got his estimate (which was accepted), we made arrangements to have the work done. On the appointed work day, he called to let us know that he would be there shortly. When Doug arrived, he went straight to work. As the project continue, we mentioned that the current mantel on the fireplace wasn't what we really wanted. So as a carpenter, he offer to build a new mantel at a very fair price. The drywall repair and the new mantel were both completed in the time stated. All that we need to do is paint. Doug did what he said he would do, he was always on time, he cleaned up all of his work areas, and Doug was very personable. Without question, I would use him again!"
