They ran into a small snag during the work, but were able to locate the issue and fix it quickly. They were very flexible and understanding, even after the job when I had a few follow-up questions. "We decided to do a complete remodel of our master bathroom and contracted with Virginia Bath Company (Rich Sowinski) for the job. We couldn’t be more pleased with the way things worked out. We can summarize our experience in “4 C’s.” Communication: Rich was unfailingly responsive. Email and text messages were his primary media, which suited us well (avoiding phone tag). The terms of the contract were precise and explicit. Once the job began, Rich started each day by telling us what he would be doing. We never felt in the dark about any aspect of the work. Courtesy: Given the expected disruption and inconvenience of this kind of project, the personalities of the people doing the work can make things easier or more difficult. Rich and all of his associates were unfailingly polite and pleasant. This seriously lessened the disruption in our lives while the work was being done. In fact, we began to look forward to Rich’s appearance each morning to brief us on the day’s work in his extremely cheerful and positive manner. Coordination: Since this was a complete remodel, the job involved Rich and his assistant, a cabinet maker for the new vanity, a plumber, an electrician, a painter, the people who built and installed the glass door for the shower, and the people who installed the new countertop. Every single one of these did their appointed job on the exact date promised by Rich; there was not a single exception. This speaks volumes about the relationship Rich has with his subcontractors. Craftsmanship: The new bathroom looks great. We do not have a single complaint with the quality of the workmanship (and we have looked over the final result very carefully). Overall, we recommend Virginia Bath Company without reservation. They provided, by far, the best experience we have had with serious work on our house."

"Had a great experience with Chris Kuper at Basement Detective! My basement flooded from non-stop storms and I needed a sump pump installed along with complete renovation of my basement. They were very competitive in pricing and outstanding in results. Chris even helped coordinate with the contractor doing my basement renovation after the sump was installed to make sure none of the drainage was disturbed by the new work being done. I have since weathered at least 3 large storms and can hear the sump working as needed. Very happy with the results!"

"My wife and I reached out to several waterproofing/foundation repair companies and ultimately went with Deska as Dave, the on-site estimator, was the most knowledgeable, honest, and efficient when assessing our basement’s water damage. We were NOT disappointed with the quality of work. Ronald and Andy showed up on time the morning of the project after giving a heads up call ~30 minutes out. They introduced themselves and explained the project scope confirming everything Dave had itemized on the project invoice before starting any work. I poked my head in the backyard a couple of times throughout the day to see if either of them needed anything, and Ronald always took a break to explain how the work was going. He took progress pictures and answered the exhaustive questions I threw his way as this was the first waterproofing project for me. The second/last day of the project prior to finishing up, Ronald and Andy gave my wife and I an overview of everything they had done and even insisted on returning the paver stones back to their original positions since we had those dug out when calling various contractors over for their estimates. A nice little personable touch! Thank you Dave and especially Ronald and Andy for your exceptional work and professionalism during the two days. Although it’s unfortunately a premium to find trustworthy contractors especially in the waterproofing/foundation repair space, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND these gentlemen to take care of any of your waterproofing/foundation repair needs."
