"It went awesome from start to finish and we could not be happier with the finished product! Just like last time when they built our custom deck and screened in porch! Troy is a true Craftsman and always does exactly what he says he's going to do without ever trying to cut corners! If we had one message to tell to other people who's looking for a contractor It would have to be not to hesitate on hiring Troy for your project!"

"I called Alarm Protection Group AFTER my office was burglarized. Now I feel SAFE. William is great to work with. He's neat and tidy, prompt, presentable - not a butt-crack type of guy, and he doesn't leave a mess in his wake. He's also knowledgeable about the equipment and only uses high-quality products."

"Ingo showed up exactly the time he said he was going to show up and he performed the work of installing and replacing door knobs and deadbolts quickly and efficiently. His bill was fair and I was impressed! I would recommend him."

"Dan Kirby and his crew are nothing but professional.  The company's name is an accurate representation of their professionalism, pride of work, and job accomplishment.  Dan is extremely customer focused and follows through with a complete product.  Dan does  not try to sell you something you don't need.
My friends that come to the house marvel at the work that he and his crew diid.   My house was a rental and a disaster when I moved back into my home.   In just a few short days he transformed it back into a new home.  His work is excellent apparent everywhere, for example, my walls and front door.   I see it everyday and I am always impressed.  My front door looks so good that several contractors have come to my house have asked for his contact information.
This review is submitted several  months after the completion of the work.  The delay is my fault and no reflection on Expertise Painting.  I highly recommend these guys for any painting work you have at your home.  You will get a fair price, professional service, and a crew that is extremely respectfully of your home.   Hire these guys.  You won't regret the decision!

Locksmiths questions, answered by experts

Keyless locks are great for convenience, letting you unlock doors with a code or your phone so you don't need to carry keys around. They also often come with helpful features like temporary codes for guests. On the downside, they can be more costly up front and do require batteries that will eventually need replacing. If you value ease of use and additional security features, keyless locks are worth the investment.

Whether or not keyless door locks are safe and trustworthy depends on the visibility of the programming code—and a trespasser’s determination. Even if you carefully guard entry and programming codes, those trying to break in may be able to crack open the lock’s faceplate with a screwdriver and change the codes. The same goes for manual models.

Some find smart locks the safest option because it’s harder to manipulate codes without access to your phone. But it’s possible to get hacked even then. Consider installing an extended security system, like door and window alarms or surveillance cameras, to enhance security.

Smart locks offer a similar level of safety to traditional or conventional locks because they often use comparable locking mechanisms, such as deadbolts. The primary difference is the access method: smart locks use a login or code instead of a physical key, which adds convenience. While not inherently safer, some smart locks have added security features that can deter intruders, like shutting down after too many incorrect code attempts or being harder to pick. For the best security, it's recommended to combine any lock with other home safety features like motion-activated lighting, security cameras, and window and door sensors.

If your key breaks in a lock, first remain calm and avoid forcing the broken piece further in. You may be able to remove it yourself if a portion of the key is still protruding from the lock. To aid removal, lubricate the keyhole with a graphite-based spray. Then, try using tools like pliers, tweezers, a bobby pin, or even a jigsaw blade to gently grasp and pull the broken piece out. If these methods don't work, you can't reach the key, or you're concerned about damaging the lock, it's best to call a professional locksmith for assistance.

When you take a key to a hardware store or a locksmith for copying, you can expect the key-cutting process to take as little as 30 seconds. The key copier will review your current key to decide on the correct blank. Then, your original key and the blank are inserted into a key duplication machine to cut an exact key copy. When it’s all said and done, you can have a new key in your hand in just a couple of minutes.
