After making a handful of calls when our garbage disposal in our new house started leaking from the bottom, I was so discouraged by the really bad customer service out there and was hesitant to call the large companies because of their cost to fix. I wanted to give up, and then I actually got a call back from Fluvanna Plumbing and it completely turned my day around! Excellent customer service - Sheila took a long time on the phone to talk with me about their business and our situation, and what some solutions might be. She was able to make an appointment for the next day. Jimmy came out and was fast, courteous and very professional. "They completely outfitted the garage space and upstairs guest space with every outlet and switch and lighting and provided a lot of good insight into how the space might be used and where outlets should go or how many. They had to trench from the garage to the house to bring in power and Tommy did an all but seemingly impossible job bringing a wire from box in the house through 20ft of crawl space nobody could fit into and out a small hole. Serious dedication. The other option would have been a longer trench and ruining some landscaping. Tommy listened to my concerns and worked hard providing a great professional experience. Everything was cleaned up and taken care of professionally."

"Sean Wright was always professional, prompt, courteous, friendly, and very helpful. I was not sure of some things I wanted to do and Sean made suggestions of various options I had not thought of, then talked through the pros and cons of each idea until I came up with a decision of what would work best for me and what I wanted to accomplish. This was invaluable in helping me manage the costs. The work he and his team did was excellent quality and they cleaned up every day before they left, and made it as easy as possible for me to live in the house while it was being renovated/remodeled.

The subcontractors were also good for the most part. The plumber and HVAC people were competent and completed their work in a timely manner and the pricing was reasonable. The cabinet maker was excellent. He built custom kitchen and bathroom cabinets to my design and measurements and installed them for less than half what Lowes had quoted for similar cabinets and they look great.

The electrical contractor, Kennedy Electric did good work but the price was twice what I had expected and took months longer than it should have.

I would not hesitate to recommend SLW for any size construction or remodeling job. I will be contacting them again later in the summer for some work on the exterior of the house.
