We had at least six estimates for waterproofing our basement and although not nearly the cheapest, we were impressed by the presentation and the personnel and low key sales approach. So, we hired them! The work was done last week and again we were impressed with the crew doing the work, the care given to hold down the dust created, the quality of the materials used, and the willingness of the crew to keep us apprised of the job as it progressed. The was great care given to cleanup of what is a very messy job. We waited until the repair had been “battle tested”, (and this inclement weather has certainly accomplished that) before writing a recommendation. We could not be more pleased at this point. "We had a critter in between our lower level drywall ceiling and our upper level wood floor that we could hear gnawing incessantly every night for 3 nights in a row and then it just stopped.  I called some "exterminating" companies but no one would go up in the attic because we don't have a floor up there or pull down steps...what?!!...I was shocked!!  Isn't the attic and the basement or crawlspace the prime location for pests to run amuck?!!  And if I had a floor up there, wouldn't it be a bonus room?!  Anyway, even though we were not hearing the problem in the attic, I still wanted it checked out to be sure the critter hadn't gnawed through whatever it was working on and relocated!  I was so frustrated.  I can't even remember what I googled but Classic Wildlife Control came up and boy am I glad!!
I called in the afternoon and Doug came out the very next morning!!  He was neat and professional, listened to all my ramblings and even put booties over his work boots to come inside! 
He did a thorough inspection and then discussed our options.  I immediately felt at ease with him because he wasn't trying to sell me any contracts or guilt me into buying anything like some of the other companies I contacted.  He simply told me what to do to help determine if we had critters coming in and out of the suspected areas and to call him in a couple of days to let him know and he would come back and set traps or we could close off the holes and rest at ease.
We also knew that our bird netting at the gables inside the attic was coming off at both ends, another reason I was adamant about someone checking out the attic, and Doug explained that they use wire mesh netting on the outside of the gables and paint it to match your house because if it is in the attic, you cannot tell if it is ever damaged by something trying to get in because you most likely don't spend a lot of time in your attic (unless it has a floor and pull down stairs I guess! lol) and also it is much harder for a critter to push through the mesh when it has the support of the outside of the house instead of when it is simply stapled from the inside...I hadn't thought of that!  So needless to say, he is going to be installing that in the next few days!
What a wonderful experience all around.  Great guy, very knowledgeable and full of common sense which is, unfortunately, not so common these days!!

Itâ s the first time in many, many years Iâ ve had a piece of mind. The work was scheduled quickly and I couldnâ t believe how quickly it was completed. I did have some other things I needed help with and David Smith and crew were right here for me. I donâ t know how to act not having the water leaking in basement. I would highly recommend this team and company to anyone. Unlike JES Foundation, there is no big high pressure sales pitch. They give you time to decide. And the work completed so fast. My only regret is I didnâ t use them before when I had other foundation problems instead of JES Foundation. "I came home to a flooded basement.  I had originally called Doug to look at my sump pump. I usually get a little water in my basement after a rain.  However, when I came home and found my basement was completely flooded with thousands of gallons of water I asked him if he could handle the problem.  He said he would grab some more equipment and be right over.  When he arrived (rather quickly) he got right to work, wading through the water and using his equipment to pump the water out.  My sump pump was completely broken (it was very old).  Doug went out and bought my new sump pump for me, put it together and was getting ready to work until the job was done but it had gotten very late and I asked if he'd rather come back in the morning.  We'd been pumping water out of my basement for hours!  The next day he arrived first thing and installed my pump.  Shortly the problem was resolved.  He was so wonderful!  Such a pleasant person.  He really did save me.  I felt that he was honest and hard working.  I would definetely call on him again!
