were having in our basement. We found the inspector, Barry, to be very
knowledgeable and very thorough in his inspection. He explained everything
to us and answered all of our question, which we had many. At the end of
the inspection we all sat down and went over our goals and expectations. We settled on the
Ameri-Dry drain system and found the price to be fair. The full warranty
was the clincher for us. They installed the system in less than a week and
I must say the men were very courteous. They worked very hard and finished
the job in under four days. The foreman, Barry, ran his crew very efficiently.
Everyone had their job and they performed them to my full satisfaction.
Even though we had dust they cleaned up nicely. I highly recommend Ameri-Dry
and would hire them again if I ever had the need.
"Ms. [Member Name Removed], I am sorry but we have no record of ever doing work for you. Perhaps you have us confused with another company. Please recheck your paperwork and get back with us. Feel free to reach out to us at 800-903-4546"
The provider examined my basement/den on Friday...work was started on Monday morning and completed on Tuesday afternoon. The work crew did a super job, cleaned up after the work was finished. They were pleasant, professional and concerned with my problem. The head of the crew, Jessie (and Shannon) explained what they were going to do, showed me what they did when they were finished. I am completely satisfied with the job and feel very comfortable that my water, dampness and mole issue has been resolved. Thanks!!!
After a contract was signed and work scheduled, they arrived when promised and work was done in the estimated amount if time. We had some snow and ice during that time and these gentlemen showed up for work in these conditions.
Very professional and skilled crew. They knew what they were doing and worked hard to get it completed.
I've had no more problems with water in my basement since that time and we have had some hard rains since.
I would recommend them to anyone.
"I guess we could thank you too (member name removed) for calling at the right time and being on Barry's way home. Thanks again for the business and let us know if there's anything else we can ever help with."
We have two finished rooms in our basement; each room had a wet corner. We are pleased with the work that Ameri-Dry did. In particular, they avoided doing any more damage than was absolutely necessary; for example, (1) I asked them to remove one whole sheet of paneling intact so that it could be re-used; they readily agreed to do this. (2) There is a door between the two rooms which is very close to the end wall. I was concerned that they would have to damage the door frame/facing, but they were able to tunnel under that wall very carefully. (3) Our water heater is just outside one of the rooms, in the garage. They were able to tunnel under that wall and past the water heater to the spot we had designated for the basin and sump pump. (Chad, the estimator, was careful to cover all the bases when he talked with us beforehand, and he had mentioned that we might have to call a plumber. I'm glad we didn't!)
They showed up when they said, worked quickly, finished the job in about a day-and-a-half, and were very pleasant folks to do business with.
A word of warning to anyone planning to have this work done: Cover, seal, or remove anything you don't want to have CONCRETE DUST on! Chad had warned us that there would be a lot of noise and a lot of dust, but the dust coating is difficult to comprehend until you've seen it. The Ameri-Dry workers walled off with plastic half of the room where there was still furniture, but that was not very effective. Also, we had stored some things in the garage, including electronics that we did not want to store in the container outside, and had assumed that Ameri-Dry would wall off the corner in the garage, which they did not do. They did have to cut concrete in the garage to install the basin for the sump pump.
We currently have a remodeling contractor repairing the drywall, paneling, etc., and we're looking forward to moving back into the rooms soon.
An additional word for those dealing with finished rooms. Ameri-Dry had warned us that tack strips for carpet would have to be glued down, not tacked, since the concrete they put in is not very thick. It turned out that the carpet people we talked to were not willing to glue tack strips down either; they felt the tension when the carpet was stretched would pull up patches of the concrete. The only option they offered us was what they call double-stick installation - pad is glued to floor then carpet is glued to pad. That would have a price tag of more than double what we had been quoted with regular installation.
UPDATE: We found another carpet company with a consultant/salesperson who had experience with basement waterproofing. He recommended placing the carpet strips about a foot in from the wall to avoid damaging the new thin concrete. This has worked out very nicely.
"(Member name removed), We thank you very much for the feedback. We are actually working on a way to help keep the dust down a little more, even though we inform everyone of the outcome of this type of work we know that there are ways to improve. With people like yourself we will find best practices, so again Thank You!"
We highly recommend this company. Of course, we haven't had the weather again to test the system, but will let you know.
It is now almost 2 months and several severe rainstorms later. The basement remains dry.
"(deleted member name), We are so happy to here that the basement is still dry!! We pride ourselves on not being high pressure, our thoughts are that people are smart enough to make an educated decision on there own and if we get the chance to show people what we have to offer along with how we operate than that should be enough."
"(deleted member name), We thank you for the business and are pleased that everything is working properly!"
"(deleted member name), We greatly appreciate the kind words and are happy that everything turned out so well."
"(deleted member name), We are happy to hear that you got everything that you wanted. Don't wear yourself out chopping all that wood!"
"(deleted member name), We are happy to hear that we could make that space livable and dry so that you could do what you wanted down there. Thank you for the great compliments."
"(Member name removed), Thank you for the kind words and we are happy to hear all is well!"
They showed up when they said they would, finished the job, cleaned up the job site, and their workmen even THANKED us for giving them the work so that they would have jobs. I am confident that the problem is fixed. They were not the cheapest, but do you REALLY want the cheapest in performing a service like this?
"(Member Name removed) , We do appreciate the business and we are here because of good people like yourself. So thank you for the great review!"
"(Member name removed), Thank you for the kind words, if you need anything please feel free to contact us."
