I had Ameri-Dry Waterproofing come to my house to inspect a water problem we

were having in our basement.  We found the inspector, Barry, to be very

knowledgeable and very thorough in his inspection.  He explained everything

to us and answered all of our question, which we had many.  At the end of

the inspection we all sat down and went over our goals and expectations.  We settled on the

Ameri-Dry drain system and found the price to be fair.  The full warranty

was the clincher for us.  They installed the system in less than a week and

I must say the men were very courteous.  They worked very hard and finished

the job in under four days.  The foreman, Barry, ran his crew very efficiently.

Everyone had their job and they performed them to my full satisfaction.

Even though we had dust they cleaned up nicely. I highly recommend Ameri-Dry

and would hire them again if I ever had the need.

These guys were great!  From the first call to their office they scheduled us right in for an inspection.  When the inspector came he was organized, curious and extremely informative. When the job started, the crew was on time and worked unbelievably hard throughout the entire day, these men were super thorough. The foremen positioned the sump pump and discharge line so it was almost invisible to the naked eye.   Required a drain through the wall of the house. They also finished the job 1/2 day earlier then they had anticipated.  When they finished the job the basement was left clean and neat.  We got several quotes for the waterproofing and we are very happy with the results we got from AmeriDry. I highly recommend them.  And we would hire them again if needed.

We've not had any problems since they did it. They were very efficient and put down protective covers over the floors.

It turned out pitiful. They didn't know what they were doing. After the first day, I found they left half of the steel reiforcement out of the wall. They also left out some mortar off of the bricks. I called them and told them to get my stuff out of my house. They were supposed to put a brace on one part of my basement because the outer wall was bowed. They didn't even do that correctly and I had to have it torn out and redone. After a year, I got back a little of the money that I'd overpaid them.

The provider examined my basement/den on Friday...work was started on Monday morning and completed on Tuesday afternoon.  The work crew did a super job, cleaned up after the work was finished.  They were pleasant, professional and concerned with my problem.  The head of the crew, Jessie (and Shannon) explained what they were going to do, showed me what they did when they were finished.  I am completely satisfied with the job and feel very comfortable that my water, dampness and mole issue has been resolved.  Thanks!!!

The only good comment I have for this company is that they were on time each morning! The job was done half-assed, basement leaked during the first heavy rain two days later, when I called the sales rep back to let him know I was very disappointed and the basement was leaking I couldn't get any response until I let them know that I went to the bank and cancelled the check because it hadn't cleared yet! I was misled on the installation of the encapsulation and it looks like large trash bags duct taped together and the tape is already peeling off and they don't seem to be concern with doing anything to fix it except applying more tape that still won't stick. The two workers doing the job claimed the they wiped the mold off all the floor joists but it just came back when in reality they hadn't even touched some of the worst areas because when the owner came back out to finish the job once I cancelled the check the mold came off just fine. Two two day job took five to complete.

Very well.  Crew arrived on time.  Full-sized basement of concrete block three sides are above ground.  Water-proofing my basement (indoors) started with jack-hammered existing concrete floor and removal of debris and soil. This was approximatedly 12 inch trench  around the footprint of the house.  This took over one day.  Day two, after the soil and stone was removed a pipe was placed in the trench.  A sump pump ws buried in the far corner of the basement and a pipe was placed here to deliever the collected water outdoors.  Concrete was replaced on the floor and a vinyl strip appromiately 12 inches tall was secured above this on the existing concrete block wall.  All trash was removed.  I paid the bill.  All payment was made at the end of the job, nothing upfront.  I did a inspection with the foreman before paying the bill.  Very happy with their work.  Was advised that the warrenty would be sent in the mail.  I did receive this in a few days time.  Had several more inches of rain in the later weeks and months and my basement is completely dry.

My basement had water continually flowing in for several days due to the amount of rain we were experiencing.  I contacted Ameri-Dry who sent a representative out that evening (7:30pm) to provide an estimate and determine scope of work.  He had been working out of town and came by my house on his way home that evening.
After a contract was signed and work scheduled, they arrived when promised and work was done in the estimated amount if time.  We had some snow and ice during that time and these gentlemen showed up for work in these conditions.
Very professional and skilled crew.  They knew what they were doing and worked hard to get it completed.
I've had no more problems with water in my basement since that time and we have had some hard rains since.
I would recommend them to anyone.

We have two finished rooms in our basement; each room had a wet corner. We are pleased with the work that Ameri-Dry did. In particular, they avoided doing any more damage than was absolutely necessary; for example, (1) I asked them to remove one whole sheet of paneling intact so that it could be re-used; they readily agreed to do this. (2) There is a door between the two rooms which is very close to the end wall. I was concerned that they would have to damage the door frame/facing, but they were able to tunnel under that wall very carefully. (3) Our water heater is just outside one of the rooms, in the garage. They were able to tunnel under that wall and past the water heater to the spot we had designated for the basin and sump pump. (Chad, the estimator, was careful to cover all the bases when he talked with us beforehand, and he had mentioned that we might have to call a plumber. I'm glad we didn't!)
They showed up when they said, worked quickly, finished the job in about a day-and-a-half, and were very pleasant folks to do business with.

A word of warning to anyone planning to have this work done: Cover, seal, or remove anything you don't want to have CONCRETE DUST on! Chad had warned us that there would be a lot of noise and a lot of dust, but the dust coating is difficult to comprehend until you've seen it. The Ameri-Dry workers walled off with plastic half of the room where there was still furniture, but that was not very effective. Also, we had stored some things in the garage, including electronics that we did not want to store in the container outside, and had assumed that Ameri-Dry would wall off the corner in the garage, which they did not do.  They did have to cut concrete in the garage to install the basin for the sump pump.
We currently have a remodeling contractor repairing the drywall, paneling, etc., and we're looking forward to moving back into the rooms soon.

An additional word for those dealing with finished rooms.  Ameri-Dry had warned us that tack strips for carpet would have to be glued down, not tacked, since the concrete they put in is not very thick.  It turned out that the carpet people we talked to were not willing to glue tack strips down either; they felt the tension when the carpet was stretched would pull up patches of the concrete.  The only option they offered us was what they call double-stick installation - pad is glued to floor then carpet is glued to pad.  That would have a price tag of more than double what we had been quoted with regular installation.

UPDATE:  We found another carpet company with a consultant/salesperson who had experience with basement waterproofing.  He recommended placing the carpet strips about a foot in from the wall to avoid damaging the new thin concrete.  This has worked out very nicely.

Response from Ameri-Dry Waterproofing
"(Member name removed), We thank you very much for the feedback. We are actually working on a way to help keep the dust down a little more, even though we inform everyone of the outcome of this type of work we know that there are ways to improve. With people like yourself we will find best practices, so again Thank You!"

After a recent heavy rain. we had about 1 1/2 inches of water in the basement. After cleaning up the mess, we searched Angie's List and found this company. We called. They responded promptly for an initial evaluation and estimate. There was absolutely NO pressure to sign up then and there. After talking with other contracters, we called Ameri-Dry and scheduled a date of service. The work crew arrived promptly as scheduled, worked hard, and actually left the basement and driveway cleaner than when they started. The crew were polite, concerned, and answered all our questions. When the work was completed, Barry, the foreman, came and once again went over what they had done and answered any questions or concerns we had.
We highly recommend this company. Of course, we haven't had the weather again to test the system, but will let you know.

It is now almost 2 months and several severe rainstorms later. The basement remains dry.

"(deleted member name), We are so happy to here that the basement is still dry!! We pride ourselves on not being high pressure, our thoughts are that people are smart enough to make an educated decision on there own and if we get the chance to show people what we have to offer along with how we operate than that should be enough."

Chad came out to the house and understood what was needed and did a great job of explaining everything to us. We got an appointment for them to come out and they were prompt and very efficient. The men working on the project were so good and very conscientious about cleaning up afterwards. The work was well explained throughout the process. We really would recommend this company to anyone.

I really wanted to to put in a wood burning stove in my basement to help with my heating bill, but every time it rained my basement would flood. I called the guys at Ameri-dry. They first sent out Chad, their inspector. He was very knowledgable and walked me through step by step of how they could fix my problem and their life of the structure warranty. After he did his inspection inside and out, we sat down and worked up a price and set a date for the installation. The day the installation started Barry and His crew showed up early and got right to work. They took  the time to explain to me some of the steps in the process. They worked very hard breaking concrete and digging the trench and pit. They also shored up a wall that was cracked almost the whole length by installing two steel I-beams.They finished by reconcreteing my floor and hooking up the sump pump. They hauled all the dirt and cleaned up after themselves. Barry did a walk through with me and again explained how it worked. Since then I haven't had a drop of water in my basement. I now have my wood stove and it has helped out on my heating bill.

AMERI-DRY  SENT OUT THEIR INSPECTOR CHAD TO EXPLAIN HOW THE SYSTEM WORKED AND THE PROCESS OF HOW IT WOULD BE INSTALLED. HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE OF THE SYSTEM AND HOW IT OPERATED. THE DAY BEFORE AMERI-DRY WAS TO SHOW UP THEY CALLED TO LET ME KNOW WHAT TIME THEY WOULD BE THERE TO START THE JOB.  THE PROCESS STARTED BY BARRY AND HIS CREW  REMOVING 12 INCH OF MY FLOOR AROUND THE 3 LEAKING WALLS. THE CREW THAN  DUG DOWN BESIDE THE FOOTER OF MY HOME AND INSTALL THE DRAIN SYSTEM.  THE SYSTEM WAS TIED INTO A SUMP PUMP BASIN. BARRY THAN INSTALLED A SUMP PUMP IN THE BASIN. THEY THAN INSTALL A WALL BOARD AROUND THE THREE WALLS AND RE-CONCRETE THE FLOOR.  THEY HALLED AWAY ALL DEBRIS AND CLEAN UP ALL OF THEIR MESS AND SOME OF THE MESS THAT WAS NOT THEIRS. WHEN THEY WERE ALL DONE BARRY WALKED ME THOUGH AND WENT OVER HOW THE SYSTEM WORKED AGAIN AND THE WARRANTY(WHICH WAS GREAT). I HAVE NOW INSTALLED A DEN AND BATHROOM IN A AREA THAT I THOUGHT WAS GOING TO BE USELESS TILL I MET AMERI-DRY

I got three estimates on waterproofing our basement that had recently experienced significant water seepage after record rainfall. But we had noticed water seeping through the blocks and through mortar joints and evidence of a history of water oozing through the blocks. I chose Ameri-Dry over two others because I trusted their recommended solution over the others who, although similar, didn't seem as confident.
They showed up when they said they would, finished the job, cleaned up the job site, and their workmen even THANKED us for giving them the work so that they would have jobs. I am confident that the problem is fixed. They were not the cheapest, but do you REALLY want the cheapest in performing a service like this?
