"I was extremely impressed with the very fine service I recieved from J.E.S. Foundation Repair, Salem, Va. They installed a French drain behind my house and across a portion of my yard in Oct. 2021. They were very professional and courteous from the rep they sent to assess the situation to the very efficient appointment updates as to when they would start the job. The crew called ahead when they were on the way and arrived right on time and also finished the job on time. "Lux foundation repair did a wonderful job at my home. I have 4 pipes coming into my home that had deteriorating seals around the pipe. The seals had deteriorated to the point that I had a large plastic box under the pipes so that after every rain I would collect the water that otherwise would have destroyed our finished basement. After small storms, I would collect a couple gallons, after very large storms, I would collect over 8 gallons of water in the box. I spoke to one contractor who suggested excavating the outside of the home. No small task since the pipes enter about 6’ below grade and it would have involved removing several established plants. I was surprised with the estimator from Lux informed me that they could solve the problem from inside the home. I was surprised that the estimator was very confident that he could not only fix the problem, but guarantee that it would fix the problem. The work team arrived on time, quickly did their work and left. When the next storm arrived, I checked the box….no water at all. Was it painless? Yes. Was it worth the money? Yes."

"Dave Garrett is very high energy and obviously passionate about what he does.   Spent an afternoon with him planning out the look and the types of plants where is his knowledge was very helpful in meeting our goal of "very low maintenance".   His team arrived on time on Friday, worked until late evening (on a particularly hot day) and would have completed the install if they had not run out of the stone.   They came back on Monday to complete the job..
It took a bit longer to get the large (20+ ft) Ash tree installed and we did have to call to check on the status of it arriving but part of the delay was ensuring the tree was properly prepped (water treatment).   The second tree was actually a small Willow that Dave "donated" from his own yard which was appreciated.
Overall we were very pleased and when it comes time to expand our deck (he does that type of work as well) we will definitely use him again.

"Randy Hudson did a great job of repairing/replacing a rotted deck post on my dad?s deck.  He was very good at assessing the damage and work necessary to correct the problem.  He was good about explaining the process to us so everyone understood what was to be expected.  Randy was very friendly and completed the work as planned and scheduled.  He also did a great job of installing new lattice for the deck skirting as part of the project.  I thought the price charged was fair and reasonable and we have asked him to give us an estimate to pressure wash and paint the deck and other house trim.
