"The installers were courteous, meticulous, asked our opinion, neat and put up 45 tiles with plenty of cuts in about 6 hours. This was a herringbone pattern of glass tile. We have not found a chipped piece anywhere. We highly recommend them!"

"Steve and his crew did a phenomenal job replacing all the wood that was damaged in the crawl space. The house was in the middle of selling and these unknown defects were identified during the buyer’s home inspection and we were so concerned we would have a hard time getting these repairs handled in time. You can technically install tile over tile, but we don’t suggest it. Installing tile over any surface that isn’t a completely flat and prepared subfloor will result in a shoddy overall job, uneven flooring, tiles that don’t adhere, extra weight, gaps, cracks, and room for moisture and dirt to enter. For the best results, only install new tile on a flat, sanded surface like subflooring or concrete that is prepared for tile.

If you have asbestos tile and would rather tile over it than remove it, or if your existing tile is completely flat and bonded tightly to the floor, you may be able to tile over existing tile. But experts recommend thinking twice before you do.

Silicone caulk shouldn’t be used in place of grout because each material serves its own purpose.
