We have granite counter tops in a unit that we rent out. The previous tenant left an Easter basket full of fruit on the counter top. The fruit rotted and leaked through the basket creating a small pool of fruit juice and basket dye on the granite. It sat for months staining the granite under the sealer. From the first phone call Rose Restoration offered up a solution that would not involve them coming out and charging the minimum $300 service fee. The solution they offered was what they would actually have tried doing had they showed up which was to purchase a specific peanut butter consistency cleanser specific for pulling stains out of stones. They explained how to use it, and for how long. Despite them giving me this information, I still scheduled them to come out the following week to seal and shine up the counter tops. The cleanser pulled about 60% of the stain out, but it was still visible. When Rose Restoration came out to seal the granite, they also buffed the remainder of the stain out. They explained that without using the cleanser for the week prior to them coming out they would not have been able to get the stain out with the buffing process, and they would have had to make multiple trips (each costing $300). In the end, the counter tops looked better than when they were first installed! The only issue was they were about an hour late to the appointment. This was an issue because I was taking time off from work to meet them. This was blamed on DC traffic, which I understand, but it should be expected and considered when scheduling. Regardless of the tardiness, I would ABSOLUTELY use Rose Restoration again, and I highly recommend them for stone cleaning. I'm particular, so I wanted to choose the slab (they were willing to move slabs around so I could look at them) and watch them position the paper templates onto the slab, to select the best part of the stone. Most of their employees (thank you, Murat) were gracious and helpful, although I asked lots of questions and changed my mind about which stone I wanted. The first team of installers were not what I had hoped. They left a mess in our garden, where they set up to make detailed cuts in the stone, and they cut a hole for a heating pipe inaccurately, so there was a gap between the granite and the pipe one one side. They did fit the granite beautifully in the rest of the kitchen, including around an irregular window sill. I called Bratti about the gap, and they promptly sent what they called the A team to fix the job. This team was tidy and professional. They caulked the gap next to the pipe. We have been enjoying the countertop for a year and a half. It is stunning - the highlight of a much-improved kitchen. Despite the hiccup with the first installers, I will definitely go back to Bratti whenever we need stone. Granite Restoration reviews from real Angi homeowners in Bluemont, VA
I have worked with TR Granite and Atila on countertops for more than 10 kitchens over the past 5-7 years. They provide high quality product at reasonable prices and stand behind their work. Not much more one can ask for. They are my go to for new projects.

"No estimate or work was done so I can't comment on any of that. The salesman apparently so hated to wear a mask that he felt the need to be rude and unprofessional. When an emergency occurred during his visit, he got angry and ran – embarrassing himself and his company. To add insult to injury the company leadership felt the need to insult and try to provoke me. Yes, at the same time the salesman arrived we had a pet emergency. Clearly a minor one to some. The death of a baby chick. Sounds like a joke but it isn't. I have limited mobility so I shouted to my wife for help believing my wife's remaining chicks were also in immediate jeopardy. She was in her flower garden so I opened the window and shouted for her by name. She could not hear me. After watching the remaining chicks suffer in pain I again called for her. Panicking now, I shouted a third time as loud as I could for her, again by name. Not knowing the salesman had even arrived. I didn't know why she was delayed. Hearing me, our oldest son left his mom with the salesman and came to my aid. Upon his arrival and after seeing and evaluating the situation, he went for help. I left the room with him. At that point I saw the salesman, for the first time, in our bathroom at the sink with the door wide open. I asked (using please and sir) he allow me into the bathroom. Like a shot he left the bathroom, angrily stomped down the stairs, out the door and sped away. When I saw my wife she was almost in tears. She was very upset and it took her a number of minutes just to calm down. According to her, and my son, the salesman came up to her in the garden not wearing a mask. We had requested he wear one and was assured by the scheduler that he would. When she asked if he would put on a mask he leaned forward into her face and shouted "what!?!" I can't explain how freighted she told me she was. My son told me he was shocked and believed the salesman came so close to her face and over-accentuated his response to demonstrate how much he resented being asked to wear a mask. My son said it was as if the salesman was faking a cough or sneeze into a customer's face as others have done before being thrown out of stores, etc. According to my son, at this point he heard my shouts for help and left his mom with the salesman and ran to help me. According to my wife, the salesman then held a mask to his face and sarcastically said, all right!?, can we do this!? He apparently followed her as she quickly walked away from him and toward the house. When he entered the house right on her heels, he again very sarcastically said, can we just do this now!? As she described it to me, she with up the stairs with him closely behind. When she went to show him the needed work upstairs, he just left her and went to the bathroom - where I saw him for the first time. Any animal dying in my hands touches my heart - that's just me. As a 60+ yr old 100% permanently disabled veteran you can accuse me of being overly sensitive. My wife is a long retired 30+ year RN, nearly my age and is now my full-time care giver. I am house bound without her. Clearly she and I are not a threat to anyone. Immediately, not knowing what happened I called Handyman Connection twice, hoping to reach someone to find out what had happened. I left two message asking for a return call immediately from someone in authority; that I didn't know if I needed to call an ambulance or the police since my wife was unable to tell me what happened. I wanted an explanation and I wanted it immediately. I got a call back alright…. Apparently from one of the owners. He said he had spoken to the salesman already and knew exactly what happened. He sarcastically 'apologized' and that his salesman understood, that my wife and I must just be ‘having a bad day.’ I was livid. When I accused his salesman of being "mean" to my wife the owner's anger exceeded mine by 100%. He made it clear to me his worker had been an employee for many years and had "hundreds" of positive reviews - that it was just me and my wife. When I repeatedly tried to express the results of the salesman's visit -- the owner verbally fought me, clearly not even pretending to consider any other view but his own. I am not a fighter. I have gone to great lengths to avoid conflict, even to the point of accepting, even fainting support when someone misses or needs to change an appointment, etc. This is a weakness that I have been working on for years. I will do anything to avoid making others feel sad, bad or embarrassed. However, the salesman, and now the company owner had insulted my wife. The owner refused to give me an email address so I could more clearly explain what had happened when I calmed down. He said he didn't want to hear any more of it, or from me again. He added that I was obviously a serial complainer and I didn't matter anyway. He ended by hanging up on me."

"Great job/customer service. I removed a dbl sink (large and small) replace with new large one bowl sink and faucet and cutting granite. Louis and team were great!! Came in went over what was to be done, got right to work measuring and demo the old sink. There was a good amount of dust from cutting the granite, they did a great job cleaning up. The plumber, Retilo was wonderful also. I had a slow leak which i didnt know. he showed me, and replaced the fitting for it (addtl cost but small). He re hooked the garbage disposal made sure everything was working properly. Although they were fast workers (probably because they do this so often) they took time to answer my questions and made sure i understood the installation process. My sink looks awesome, looks like it was put in originally, would never know it was changed. I recommend them 100%"

Richards' Homes, LLC has been in business for over 20 years serving Virginia families and surrounding states. Our reputation is excellent and our company highly recommended by customers throughout the years. We offer free consultation and pricing out of your job. Richards' Homes, LLC has used trustworthy subcontractors for all of the jobs.
"My wife and I had a great experience dealing with Richards’ Homes and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for an honest experienced builder that takes great pride in their work. We built a second home on a mountain side in Front Royal so we were not able to visit as often as we would have liked to see the progress being made. But we were always pleased with the craftsmanship and the progress when we visited. The process was smooth with just a few hiccups along the way. Mr. Richard treated my home as if it was his own making sure everything was done correctly. At times, I felt like his trades and subs often went above and beyond and gave me the best service possible. Overall, we are very pleased with the workmanship and the completed product exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you for the beautiful new home, we are very proud of it. It is everything we wanted!"

Granite Restoration questions, answered by experts
Buffing will only remove scratches at the surface level of your flooring. You may also need to apply hardwood floor wax to restore the wax layer. To remove deeper scratches, you’ll need another floor repair method like sanding; however, if you sand the floor, you’ll also need to stain and seal it.
In many cases, it’s worth it to restore stone. Stone restoration generally costs less than replacing the stone entirely, helping to save on the cost of your project while still giving your home’s stone a polished appearance. However, if your stone is very cracked or crumbling to the point of compromising the structural integrity of your home, you may want to consider replacing it. Stone flooring costs range from $6 to $20 per square foot on average.
Yes, you can use a dremel tool to cut plexiglass. Follow the instructions under “How to Cut Plexiglass with a Saw,” and use a dremel tool with a 561 bit instead of a saw.
In most cases, chipped or cracked granite can be salvaged, but it depends on the size and scope of the damage. For example, a pro can smooth out small chips on the edge with polish pads or an angle grinder, but a crack that runs through the stone's surface has little-to-no chance of being fixed easily.
Stone restoration and polishing enhance the beauty and longevity of stone surfaces by repairing damage and restoring their original shine and functionality.
