If a reputable company with high standards of integrity, honesty and an impeccable work ethic is what you?re looking for then K&W Painting is well worth the investment. We asked for Robert to come do the initial testing because we have dealt with him about pool matters. The installers called ahead to say they could come earlier than the scheduled appointment (OK with me). They breezed through the installation, explaining the system and how it operates. They worked steadily and completed the job quickly. Both were quite amiable and comfortable to interact with. The old tank was full of hardened salt and couldn't be moved out of the basement because of the weight. They left the tank so I could use the salt in my new brine tank and left one of the two salt bags they brought with them to the side for use later. This saved me some money and is ecologically sound. They told me twice to call them when I had used up the old salt and they will come take the tank away. Unlike a previous reviewer, I definitely like to buy from the company that will maintain and service the equipment. That the company is local is a bonus. There are much cheaper water softeners from the chain stores, but I can't bring myself to trust the installation or the ongoing service. You get what you pay for, and I consider this purchase/installation to have been worth the price. I wish I had checked Angie's List first because of the 5% discount coupon that I could have used. Salesman was very pleasant and thorough when he took a personal inventory of my home. Special boxes/crates would be provided for my two flat screen TVs and some large paintings. I received a quotation in writing that seemed reasonable compared to some phone quotes with other companies. I was advised that they wouldn't remove paintings or TV screens from walls so had to hire handyman to carefully remove TVs and disconnect them.
Moving crew arrived on time to pack. They were careful with breakables and finished on time. I provided cold drinks to the crew. They did not have boxes for flat screen TVs. I was under the impression that the packed furniture would be moved that night and stored in the moving van for an early start next day. That didn't happen. Packed and taped furniture remained in the house overnight. Perhaps a misunderstanding on my part - I let it go.
Crew arrived early next morning. They were unprofessional, noisy (it was early a.m.) and the supervisor wanted to discuss his personal wife/girlfriend problems and seemed interested in my marital status. I provided pizza lunch and cold drinks. They still had no box for my TVs and suggested I transport them in the back of my small car. I refused and tried to reach my salesman or supervisor via phone. No-one was available for me. I pressed them to pack my TVs properly and got "attitude." Eventually one man made up a box with pieces of cardboard taped together and assured me he would personally hold it in the truck. They had misjudged the size of truck needed and instead of doing it in one trip, we were required to do it in two. They refused to take toll roads (quickest route) and instead took twice as long on back roads. During the journey, a metal floor lamp was broken in half. My dining table was assembled incorrectly and I had to hire a handy man to put it together properly (two pieces). After a couple of month of almost daily phone calls, they picked up my broken lamp and managed to fix it after I initiated a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/houston/a-better-tripp-moving-and-storage-reviews-130213.htm"},"position":7},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Envisions Distinctive Interiors","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"VA","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Virginia C."},"reviewBody":"I had just had my den painted and was very happy with the color but needed assistance picking out a flooring that would blend with the walls and furnishing. My home was scheduled to be on the Smith Mountain Charity Home Tour in October of 2008 and getting it right was important to me. Carrie came out to my house and then I met her days later at her office with my paint sample in hand, to look at her suggestions. Her first one was a cork flooring that was very light. I don't like and have never had light floors in any rooms except bath or kitchens so I quickly and clearly told her I did not like it. She then showed me a darker version with a more brown hue which I loved and which blended beautifully with the paint sample. We proceeded to select a carpeting that went with both. Instead of writing down the number of any of my choices she left them together on the floor, the correct cork sample, carpet sample, and paint sample. Her partner took the cork sample that I didn't want and removed it to a table indicating that it should be kept away from the one selected so as not to get them mixed up. Carrie rushed off to work with another client. I was not home during the period when the flooring was delivered and installed. I was shocked when I got home to find that the light cork had been installed. It was awful and did not blend at all with the walls. I got in the car and went immediately to her office and she said I had picked out the light one, refused to admit that it did not go with the paint although we stood there together and anyone could clearly see the light cork sample did not blend well with either the paint sample or the carpet sample. She said she thought it looked fine and that the problem must be the lighting in my house. She has refused to take responsiblity for it and I had to repaint my den and buy another area carpet because the one ordered from her looked so awful. this was all because she didn't write it down when we selected the correct sample. If she was correct, it would make her the worse decorator in the world for picking out flooring that did not go with anything else selected in the decorating process. Initial communications was via e-mail. They asked me to provide an inventory (an estimated list of things for them to move) by e-mail, which I did. I also provided photographs of my apartment - not sure if they used that. From the information I sent, they estimated a price of $1,100. The actual job came in at $1025, but at my request I did some of the work originally asked them to estimate, like reassembling the bedroom furniture, because I wasn't done painting my bedroom yet. I suspect that if they had done all the work I originally requested, their estimate would have been almost exactly correct. The folk from Perry arrived on time on the day of the move, and worked quickly, carefully, and efficiently. I was a little concerned paying by the hour, but all three crewmembers were working hard every second they were there. They couldn't have been more careful with my belongings if they had been their own - amazingly, every single thing arrived without a scratch or dent or tear. The crew treated me, and my belongings with the utmost respect. They even took the time to explain how to disassemble/assemble my furniture should I ever need to do that in the future. They forgot to remove the plug from one of the pool water returns (jets). There are only four returns in the whole pool; how did they miss one? A few days after the opening, we brought in a sample for testing. They told us we had to add 133 pounds of shock! That just seemed wrong, so we waited a couple of days and returned with another sample. Again, 133 pounds of shock. This time, however, they insisted that we had to drain and refill the pool. Since neither my wife nor I had had a pool before, we thought this was a normal occurrence and began preparing to drain it. That same day we ended up talking to our septic guy. He said that was absolutely ridiculous and referred us to Westlake Pools. We brought a sample to Westlake Pools, where they told us to add 13 bags of shock along with several other chemicals. After following the advise of the people at Westlake, our pool is now perfectly clear and blue. Pool Table Assembly reviews from real Angi homeowners in Bedford, VA
I contacted ARKO because they had a Big Deal offer for either a 2-man crew and truck for 4 hours for $300 or a 3-man crew and truck for 3 hours for $360. Work beyond those timeframes would cost $120/hour. I was on the fence, so I spoke directly with Arthur, who runs the administrative side of...

FAQs for pool table assembly projects in Bedford, VA
The average cost to hire a handyman ranges from about $40 to $140 per hour. Average project cost ranges between $180 and $700, but the cost per hour and per project depends heavily on the type, size, and complexity of the project. The pro’s experience level and your location also factor into how much a handyman charges per hour or per project. You can also expect to pay higher rates or additional fees for emergency services, or around periods of high customer demand, like holidays.
Tipping a handyman is not a requirement or necessarily expected, as they should build a fair wage into the price of the job. However, some people will tip a handyman around $10 to $20 per hour or the equivalent of a day’s pay, depending on the size of the job. But it’s up to your discretion. There are no set rules for tipping a handyman service, but if they did a great job and you’re so inclined to tip, it’s encouraged and will likely be received with thanks.
Do you have any before and after photos of your work?
How long have you been doing this kind of work?
Do you clean up and dispose of waste when the job is finished?
Yes, you should hire a handyman who’s licensed, certified, and insured, if possible. States have different requirements for handyman licensing, registration, and certifications. If licensing is required in your area, you may pay more for a licensed handyman with experience than one who is not licensed or certified, but you’re likely to get a better end result for your project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local handymen guidelines.
