It went great. New home with well. Needed added "omph" in our water pressure so Steve Martin came out did water samples and discussed options. We opted for both a water pump add on and water softening system. We are thrilled with the increase in water pressure for showering/bathing. I really like the softened water, my hair is much easier to style and laundry is soft and smells great. I use less detergent and much less fabric sooner. My husband likes the increased water pressure for the lawn sprinkling and when using a hose to pressure wash or water our outdoor plants. We highly recommend Kinetico as the the install service guys we're terrific! Lastly Steve came back out and did repeat water samples and they all with within normal range with the newly added softening system.

A representative came to give us an estimate and we chose to go with them because of price and because we liked their options the best. They arrived early to install and completed the job quickly. They even made adjustments based on our needs, even though it required extra work on their part. Very accommodating.

Arrived when promised.  Same installation team that replaced my water softener, so they were familiar with my configuration and I was familiar with their work.  They removed the old water filter and installed a new one.  This required some new water lines.  They installed a shut-off valve on the supply side of the filter, recognizing that I had no such shut-off valve and could only shut off the water by shutting off the electricity to the pump at the circuit breaker.  This was a very thoughtful and much appreciated action on their part.  It is evident that they take pride in their work, which instills confidence.

These guys were great. They tested our water and found out exactly what was wrong. They offered us three options at different prices; we choose the middle option which is a lot less maintenance than the old system. They came back to retest after the system had been in a couple of weeks. I would recommend them over Culligan. Culligan wanted to sell us a piece of used equipment without ever having performed a test.

They are very customer oriented.  They really want please there customers.  They care about there customers. 

We deal with Quality Water Systems for our swimming pool supplies and challenges, so it was the first place we considered when looking to replace our softener which had simply quit working.  We asked for Robert to come do the initial testing because we have dealt with him about pool matters.
The installers called ahead to say they could come earlier than the scheduled appointment (OK with me).  They breezed through the installation, explaining the system and how it operates.  They worked steadily and completed the job quickly.  Both were quite amiable and comfortable to interact with.  The old tank was full of hardened salt and couldn't be moved out of the basement because of the weight.  They left the tank so I could use the salt in my new brine tank and left one of the two salt bags they brought with them to the side for use later.  This saved me some money and is ecologically sound.  They told me twice to call them when I had used up the old salt and they will come take the tank away.
Unlike  a previous reviewer, I definitely like to buy from the company that will maintain and service the equipment.  That the company is local is a bonus.  There are much cheaper water softeners from the chain stores, but I can't bring myself to trust the installation or the ongoing service.  You get what you pay for, and I consider this purchase/installation to have been worth the price.
I wish I had checked Angie's List first because of the 5% discount coupon that I could have used.

The plumbing was very well done. Their salesman was very responsive to questions and the installers layed out the system with convenient access to all parts requiring maintenance and answered all my questions.  Don't forget to ask for the Angies List discount.  If you want to save money you can buy a softener online such as a Fleck(not as reliable Kinetico from what I read online) and install it yourself

Kinetico came out to my house to test my water. I live near the lake with well water and the previous home owners must've been more tolerant of lousy water than I am. The water smelled of sulfur, was brown when first turned on after not being used for any length of time, and left stains on all the household appliances which it regularly came in contact with it. To no surprise, we had a good amount of soluble and insoluble iron as well as other materials in the water.
I had other vendors come out and perform similar water tests and allowed them to give me their solutions, but Kinetico was clearly the leader in product knowledge and innovative solutions. The sales rep was very knowledgeable and offered me a quite low cost solution. Based on my personal preference and after several days of additional research, I upgraded myself to their two-tank system which requires no electricity at all to run. The house is used a lot in the summer and very little the rest of the year, so having a system which would handle the load while not wasting water, salt, or cleaning media was attractive to me.
The installation crew was even more knowledgeable than their sales rep. They moved my whole-house filter to where it was supposed to be according to code (after the pump) and provided me with a brand new prefilter and housing. They also installed their soft water system exactly in the location I preferred and even took the extra step of removing the anode rod from my hot water heater (which would help with removing the smell from our water).
It is now two months since the system has been installed and it has made a tremendous difference. The water is clean, clear, and odorless. We are now comfortable in replacing our dishwasher, washer, and toilets which are all stained from the iron deposits of 10 years of untreated well water.

It went very smoothly!  It only took them about an hour to have the tank installed and working.  They went over it's functions with me including how to refill it when needed (or I can have them do it).  They also came back about a month later to re-test my water to make sure the system was working correctly.
The water tester and the installation team were on-time and were professional and courteous.

I put 1,000+ as the price I spent just because my husband paid for the system and I don't know how much he spent.
We have the worst water anybody has ever tested.  Every water company that comes to our house says they've never seen it that bad ever.  We had another company install a water softener when we moved in and had nothing but problems and attitude from them.  I hated to turn around three years later and buy another system, but we just couldn't deal with it anymore.
Kinetico came in an installed a light commercial system in our house, along with a RO system.  While it hasn't made everything perfect yet, if we do have a problem, they come out immediately, even on holidays, and they are so gracious and want to make
things perfect.  We still have some white residue around the sinks and shower, but they say that it's cleaning out the pipes and it should go away.
Anyway, I'd much rather deal with a company that wants to make things right (still believes that the customer knows best) than a company that gives you nothing but attitude and incompetence with their office staff.

Overall it went well.  The work was done on schedule and on budget. There was a minor problem with the workmen moving a drain pipe slightly so that there is some risk of drain problems going forward.  This was reported to the company but it has not been corrected as yet (10 months later).  Otherwise i have been happy with the work and the system.

A price was written up for a water system. When salesperson called back, we found a lower priced alternative we agreed on. She told me on the phone that she would schedule an install date. I have not heard from the company since then. I have called the office and left a voicemail on the salespersons phone. It has been about a month and have recieved no call. Guess they don't want my business. I will look elsewhere.

I had Kinetico put in a reverse osmosis system in my house and the neighbors all want to use my water to make tea, coffee, etc. for any special functions. When I moved into my house, I found out that I have the hardest water that most people have ever seen. I called Culligan because of the name - HUGE mistake. They installed a water softener, which is smaller and more expensive than Kinetico's system, and their customer service is truly some of the worst I've ever seen. Well, when they installed my water softener system, they brought me a sample of their RO water. I didn't like the taste at all. After problem after problem with Culligan, I called Kinetico to see if they had any solutions for my water problems. They said they had a larger system than Culligan's and the price was cheaper. But since I had just had Culligan's system installed and I figured past the warranty, I decided to just ride it out with Culligan's system till it failed and then call Kinetico. Kinetico, however, brought me a sample of their RO water and it was the best water I had ever tasted (or not tasted) - way better than bottled water you buy in the store that tastes like plastic. So I had Kinetico install two RO systems, one under the sink and one to the refrigerator, which by the way Kinetico's two RO systems was less than $200 more than Culligan's one RO system. About a week after the installation, I called Kinetico and told them that I didn't think the refrigerator RO system tasted as good as the one at the sink. They said no problem, came out the next day and gave me a new unit. I can't tell you what hassles I would have had with Culligan, and I sure wouldn't have a new system. Trust me, if you have hard water issues, call Kinetico.
