"I just pay $75 you never know who's going to come out. They do everything electrical. Just about everything is covered except the septic tank. I had an air conditioner replaced. It went great, all I had to do was pay for the freon. He didn't charge e more than what was needed."

"We hired Walls to come out and move our hot water heater that was located in our laundry area to another location in preparation of an addition to my laundry room.  In order to move the water heater an old water softener system would need to be removed and disposed of.  The work was completed in one day and everything was cleaned up very nicely when they were done.  Mark and Brian were extremely professional and friendly to work with."

Wells typically replenish at a rate of about five gallons per minute, but several variables can influence how quickly they refill. A deep well will take more time to replenish than a shallow one. The replenishment rate can be slowed by issues such as leaks, damage, a faulty well pump, or a clogged well screen. Depending on local conditions, a deep well may be a better choice than a shallow well. Deeper well depth accesses groundwater that has been naturally filtered through many layers of soil and rock. This reduces surface contaminants and may offer cleaner water, but deep wells cost more money to build and maintain. The water may be harder and have higher radioactivity, too. 

The easiest thing you can do to prolong the life of your septic system is to adopt septic-safe practices. This includes not flushing non-biodegradable items, chemicals, or excessive grease down drains and scheduling regular septic tank pumping to prevent buildup. It’s also important to fix plumbing leaks promptly and to practice water conservation to avoid overloading the system. To maintain your drain field, avoid heavy vehicle traffic and plant shallow-rooted vegetation in the area. Most importantly, invest in routine inspections and maintenance to detect and address issues early.

There are a couple of ways you can determine the depth of your well. One method is to use a device called a well sounder. This tool has a long measuring tape containing a sensor to alert you once the end reaches the water. 

Or you can DIY it by using a long tape measure with a half-filled bottle of water attached to it. Lower the tape measure into your well. Once you feel tension on the tape, you’ll know the bottle has reached your static water level. This will give you an approximate idea of your well’s depth.

Baking soda does very little to nothing for a septic tank, but it can help unclog a drain or clean out a garbage disposal. Rotten tomatoes and yeast are the best ways to increase the bacteria in your septic tank naturally. You can add these to your system once every three months.
