"Blake, Dmarreo, and Jeremy delivered excellent service from start to finish. They were a pleasure to work with - friendly & professional, engaged, knowledgeable, and committed to their work. Initially, they identified issues with the job for us that we were able to resolve, and then completed the work on schedule. The finished work meets the engineer's specifications, the job site was left clean and orderly, and the final walk-through was not rushed but very thorough. The installed product repairs the foundation issue and increases the value of our home."

"Getting a walk in tub is expensive no matter who you use. My experience thus far is with installation only and I must say my install went great. It has been over a month and no issues with my tub so I cannot comment on repair process with American Standard."

"It was done in about 6  hours with minimal noise and mess.    It looks great!   The basic package was $3995 and then we upgraded the fixtures to oil-rubbed bronze for and added a glass sliding door for.   We also added a tower to hold soap/shampoos.   You do pay extra for every little thing you add/change.   The basic $3995 (price is now a little higher)only covered the base, basic flat marble look walls & chrome moen fixtures.   Having said that, we looked at all the similar companies - whitewater, bathcrest, re-bath, contractor and this was the nicest product, with the least hassle.   They have a nice showroom in Sandy.   They will give you prices up front.   Their product has a lifetime guarantee.   I have spoken/met with everyone from the sales agent, office manager, installer & owner and they are all super with customer service.   It is a little more expensive than getting a contractor and doing a base with tile walls, but this is a seamless, groutless product, no hassle install & lifetime warranty.   The money makes that worth it to us!"

"RSI is a great replumb company. The actual replumbing was outstanding and we opted for the upgraded pro-plex fittings to increase our warranty from 10 to 25 years (not an up sell by Jamey - our choice). They also put in-place a dedicated recirculation line for our tankless water heater. The RSI team (Kenny and Milo) was expert at locating and replacing the old polybutylene piping with minimal impact to sheetrock, tiles, and fittings. They finished the work early but were delayed in finalizing the project due to a delay from the Regional Building Inspectors, not RSI's fault. Our only suggestions are 1) better daily clean-up, 2) better attention to detail repainting sheetrock (we had to repeatedly point out areas for a 'redo' and adjacent areas for touch-up) - this seemed harder to do that we expected (this is why we gave them a B rather than an A for quality). Jamey was very responsive to us and answered our questions/concerns thoroughly and promptly. We will recommend RSI our neighbors and friends.

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

After finishing plumbing work in Vernal, schedule a final inspection to close out your permits. If you own a rural property, update your local health records for any septic or well improvements. Test your well water for bacteria and minerals. You must also replace any disturbed crawl space insulation immediately to protect your pipes from freezing during the basin's severe winter temperature inversions.

Helpful?

Consider plumbing upgrades if your Vernal home was built before the 1980s. Older galvanized steel pipes corrode quickly in the Uinta Basin's hard water. Check for reduced water pressure, white scale deposits on fixtures, or an inefficient water heater. Additionally, look for past freeze-related repairs, like patched pipes or water stains, which indicate vulnerable lines during cold winter temperature inversions.

Helpful?

Updating your plumbing directly boosts resale appeal in the UT real estate market. Buyers look for homes with upgraded pipes or water treatment systems that handle hard water scale. Adding proper insulation to crawl spaces and burying exterior lines below the frost depth also reassures buyers about freeze protection. Ensure all work receives proper permits, as documented compliance provides strong negotiation power during a sale.

Helpful?

Build a seasonal plumbing routine by preparing for Vernal winters early. In the fall, drain exterior hose bibs and add insulation to unheated crawl spaces. During winter, open cabinet doors on exterior walls to keep pipes warm during cold inversions. When spring arrives, inspect your basement for freeze damage and test your well water. Use the summer months to check your water heater anode rod.

Helpful?

Managing hard water scale is the most important plumbing maintenance task in UT. Flush your water heater annually and inspect the anode rod every two to three years. Before winter arrives, inspect pipe insulation in unheated spaces and drain all exterior hose bibs to prevent freezing. For rural properties, schedule a septic tank pumping every three to five years and inspect your well pump annually.
