"Affordable Lawn Care was a great company to work with! Miguel went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met and that we were satisfied customers. I called several companies and this one was the only one to even respond. The scheduler was extremely helpful and got us in as soon as she could. Overall, very pleased!"

"The Groundsman did a superb job mowing my lawn. It was the first mowing of the season so the back yard was especially long, It looks great and they edged the front yard along the sidewalks and driveway. They cleaned everything and took away the clippings too."

"Tyler just charged his low hourly rate to cut down two fruit trees and cleaned up all the debris in less than 2 hours. He even took some other stuff to the dump for me without charging extra. I'm so pleased with his service, and look forward to having someone I trust (Tyler) come and take care of future needs."

Lawn Irrigation questions, answered by experts

Shade-tolerant grass seed still needs between four and six hours of sun to germinate, and many types require a little extra care to thrive. However, it is possible to plant new grass seed in shaded areas when you choose the right variety.

You can fill the holes weeds leave behind with soil or sand to avoid unsightly spots or tripping hazards. If you remove weeds from a grassy area, fill the hole with soil and grass seed, and water regularly to promote grass growth.

Yes, orchard grass is a perennial weed that will come back each spring. However, if you maintain a healthy, dense lawn in the spring, orchard grass will not have as much space to flourish. Remove signs of the weed early in the spring season whenever possible.

Germination varies with grass type and climate, generally taking 7 to 21 days. Full lawns develop over a few months.

Yes! Fescue grass is a perennial that naturally regrows every spring. That’s why we recommend planting this grass variety in the spring to jump into the ideal growing and regrowing schedule. Keep in mind that fescue grasses thrive in cooler and transitional areas, so some species do best in moderate climates below 90 and above 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
