"Their work was very professional and very well done.  I particularly appreciated that they were able to do the job on the weekend.  They rebuilt my brick chimney, which was in very bad shape, as well as lining the chimney for venting the furnace and capping the chimney appropriately.  Great work, very attentive on returning phone calls and great service.

"The metal had blown off our old roof and under that was an old roof that was a mess. We did not think that we could afford to have the whole roof redone. Kimball came in and helped us figure a way that we could get it done on a budget that we could afford and have it done the right way. We have a roof that we know will last for a long time and that the ice and snow will not be a problem."

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

Yes, professionals can often retrofit models with minimal disruption.

Typically 1-2 hours, factoring in ductwork and electrical connections.

Smooth galvanized metal ducting is best and safest for venting a hood range. It’s best to avoid flexible and corrugated types of ducting, as these options don’t provide ample airflow and may not meet local code. For specific advice on which type of duct might be best for your kitchen, reach out to a range hood installation professional.

A range hood is an exhaust fan for your kitchen, and several types and styles exist. They are meant to remove grease, moisture, and fumes from your stove. Although some models filter and recirculate the air, the most effective ones remove the air through a duct that’s vented to the outdoors.

If a range hood has minor issues, the average repair costs $85 to $210. This accounts for both parts and labor. More extensive damage can cost as much as $300 to $500, at which point it may be worth considering completely replacing the range hood.
