"David and his crew Ives, Victor, and Joseph did a fantastic job stabilizing our foundation. They were focused on the job and came prepared to work. They finished the job quickly and professionally. They communicated with us throughout the entire process. Once they got into the project they were able to identify areas that didn't require the repairs and David quickly explained a new plan and then, with my permission, adjusted the plan which saved us several thousand dollars. I appreciated their honesty and integrity. Thank you Groundworks for training and hiring quality people. Dennis and Ellen Porter"

"Alex ran this project as well and got help from Chris and his crew to zero scape my front yard. Rocks, 2 flower beds, and a long bush/tree bed. With some boulders. Its beautiful and no more yard work. They simultaneously did my driveway and my yard in 3 days 6 hours. It was so awesome! This company rocks it like no other."

"I saw the reviews here and contacted Ted Cowan, the owner of this company. He came by soon after to look over the job and give me a bid. He was professional and knowledgeable and his crew (led by James) did a wonderful job! They were able to perfectly match the color of my stucco and completed the job in a timely manner. They were also very good about cleaning up when they were finished. I would definitely hire them again and would recommend this company to others needing stucco repair."

"I recently hired Pita Concrete to complete several major projects at my home, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the results! From start to finish, their professionalism, attention to detail, and craftsmanship were top-notch. They tackled a variety of tasks, including fixing my basement flooring by laying new cement, installing new flooring, and adding new carpet. The transformation is stunning! They also painted my basement beautifully, giving it a fresh and inviting look. In addition, they repaired my bathtub and fixed the surrounding concrete, making it look and feel brand new. Outside, they poured a new concrete walkway around my house, which not only looks amazing but also greatly improved the accessibility and curb appeal of my property. The team was professional, hardworking, and completed the work on time and within budget. They communicated clearly throughout the process and ensured that every detail met my expectations. If you're looking for a reliable and skilled construction company, I highly recommend Pita Construction. They exceeded my expectations and truly transformed my home!"

"The owner and his son came out promptly.  They displayed quite a bit of confidence and pride in their work. The haggling for a fair price was a bit awkward, and almost boardered  to the level of buying a car.:) They did try to upsell a bit but that is natural for contractors since it's much easier to do additional work once all their equipment is set up. About a two week delay in starting the job beyond when it was scheduled. Some confusion with the guy who was actually doing the work concerning the agreement to  fix any and all cracks around the entire house, but the owner stepped in and lived up to his word in the end.
The work was very professionally done. The stucco work was exceptional and the paint matching was perfect. The price was fair and the warranty was very good.

"Brent and his crew were very trustworthy, friendly, flexible and easy to work with. We had them finish our basement and are still very pleased with their work (it's been about 5 months). We have already recommended them to our neighbors and will continue to do so. We had a couple of misunderstandings, miscommunication regarding the surround sound, but all was worked out in the end. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. We are very glad we chose them to do the work."

Foundation Repair questions, answered by experts

The most cost-effective foundation repair is using masonry patches and sealants to seal foundation cracks and offer some support to prevent further damage. These methods are used to fix minor foundation cracks quickly. However, they’re not suitable as a long-term solution, and they only offer minimal stability. On average, masonry patches and sealants cost $500, but a sealant like an epoxy crack injection can total over $2,000. If you’re handy and only looking for a temporary solution until you contact a local foundation repair contractor for a more permanent one, you can save hundreds by DIYing this repair.

It’s usually not a big deal if your foundation sinks between 2 and 3 inches into the ground after construction, provided the settlement occurs evenly. This is usually indicative of normal settlement that occurs as the soil under your home adapts to the weight of the structure. If the home sinks more into the ground or the settlement occurs unevenly, leaving portions of your home to sink further down than others, then call a foundation repair specialist to address the issue and avoid additional damage.

There are a few ways to reinforce a pier and beam foundation, including installing additional piers and beams for added support and performing underpinning, which redistributes the weight of your home further down into the ground where frost and soil expansion don’t pose a threat to the foundation. The best option for reinforcement varies based on your particular home and the soil conditions beneath it.

The best foundation repair method will depend on the issue you’re having, but usually, foundation instability is best fixed using supportive piers, like steel piers or helical piers. A professional foundation repair contractor or structural engineer should always decide what the best course of action is, and even then, it’s imperative that you also take measures to treat the underlying issue as well, like soil erosion or oversaturation from runoff.

If your building department catches you or a contractor doing foundation work without proper permits, they will likely put the work on hold until you secure the necessary permits, which can cause delays of days or even weeks. You can also face violation charges for construction without a permit, which can cost hundreds, depending on where you live.
