I had a couple of large cracks in my porch. Colby and his brother were fast and professional and really knew their stuff when they came to check it out. They gave me my options and respected my price point, even politely noting where they disagreed with what I wanted. When they finished the job, they even did a little bonus work I hadn’t paid for. I am really glad I reached out to them, and would very happily work with them again.

They came in and ripped up the backyard and trees with their machines. They took out more dirt than we thought the original plan was. They charged us more than the original price. They did not install the door. We asked for a basement entrance.

"This is a warning to all contractors to be careful who you work for. We have everything in writing. We went over the whole job and all the extra stuff you, your mom and your ex wife wanted. We went over and beyond for you guys and you were happy every step along the way. Then come time to pay all the sudden you didn?t want to pay for anything extra. We are still short $3,600 on your job because you refused to pay for everything."

Guest brothers construction is a top notch outfit top to bottom. These guys are extremely personable, knowledgeable, talented and their workmanship and attention to detail is unmatched. From our very first meeting with Gage, they were polite, prompt and upfront with all pricing and costs. They showed up every time they said they’d be here at the time they said they would be here. They were honest and gave us great advice and ideas about our project and exceeded all expectations of quality. They came back the next day, checked their work, did all finishing tasks and spent a lot of time and extreme detail in cleaning up the job site - it was better after they left than before they got there. They scrubbed our fence to ensure there were no little concrete splash remnants on our property. I cannot say enough how happy I am with their work ethic, attitude, business dealings and above all, quality of work. I am SO glad that we found Guest brothers to do our concrete. I could not be more pleased!

Guest Brothers Concrete installed a stamped concrete patio, driveway, concrete stairway and new circular porch for us. They listened carefully to what we wanted and offered excellent suggestions. It was clear one of their top priorities was for us to be happy with the results. Their workmanship was excellent. We love our new back yard and drive. We highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for custom, professional concrete work.

They scattered all their extra dirt on my back lawn and extra cement went under my backyard deck. They tore down a backyard brick wall to bring in their equipment and left the brick under my deck. the backyard was so lumpy that i was not able to walk on the dirt filled lawn without risk of falling as I am elderly. The cement work was good, but the mess that they left behind was bad.

We hired Guest Brothers Concrete to install a French drain in the clay below the our foundation and pour the basement floor. This was the e-mail we sent to make sure the drain was correctly installed: " Looking at the timeline for tomorrow I wanted to make sure we we're on the same page as far as the drain prep goes. We are expecting a French Drain that starts at 4" below clay level at the furthest point from the sump and maintains a slope to the drain that is no less than 1" per 100' The trench in the clay is lined with soil separator and then has a couple inches of rock, then the pipe with sock, 1-2" rock then the soil separator folded over with the whole thing then covered with the rock to floor level." The result was 75% of the pipe laying on top of the clay, 15% in the clay and 10% running 5 to 10 inches into the rock. He didn't use any soil separator fabric etc. The finished concrete floor that we hired him for was supposed to be flat enough for 8' x 2' x 7' double sided bookshelves without shimming,, and finished so we could acid stain it in the future. What we got was a floor with so much texture that the companies we asked to bid staining it added around $3000 to their bids to get it to the point that Guest Brothers should have left it as a new floor. The texture, they explained could not be ground off sufficiently to get rid of the peaks and valleys without causing a terracotta finish. There is a greater than 1" difference in elevation in several areas of the floor. That is quit a bit when we're looking at a 16' x 41' room. The project was already finished but I am not satisfied with the project. I expected more but they did not fulfill my expectations.

"Thora was very good to work with and had nothing but good things to say while we were at her home. She paid us for all the work that had been done to her basement floor, not more than a month went by and she wanted us to sand her floor so she could stain it. I told her that she could not stain the floor because she had surface water directly under her floor and staining requires 0% moisture. She flew off the handle and started yealing at me because her floor was not perfectly flat, and it had not been finished smooth. I had her help me string a line across the floor and it was less that 1/8 of an inch from one end to the other. I then told he"

Got my bid, it was reasonable, said they could get right on it, so I said ok. Next morning the were there early grading and leveling. I figured they would pour the next day so I went to work. Came home and it was all done! Exactly as I had requested it! They even came the next day and cleaned my vinyl fence where it had splashed. I am so impressed, would hire them again for sure. I had a sagging suspended garage floor. I had several contractors come look, and was advised to get an engineer and building permit. I Later learned they had never done this kind of work. Home Advisor directed me to Curt Guest. The owner, taught by his father was on site. That was important to me. His approach was conservative, with full disclosure of possible expansion needed once the cuts were made- thus creating two bids, and an understanding of the variables.. Not only did he explain what he would do, he also explained the reasoning and methods the other contractors suggested- which gave me full confidence, and saved me big bucks. Curt and his crew were fast, clean, fun and not bad to look at. They showed me how and why the floor had failed, and what was different about the new construction (which was probably bothersome for them, but they didn't show it). The quality of their work was important to the whole crew- and it showed in the way they communicated with each other. They were even gracious enough to balance calls from my brother (the brains) in Oregon, my sister (the financer) in St.George, and talk with my mother (with demensia), the home owner. Oh- and the price was less then we imagined it would be from our research. I'm an architects daughter and know a few things...I have never been so happy, and comfortable in paying for such a big job.

Guest Brothers worked with the homeowner in a DIY floor heating upgrade project. They used the materials requested w/o substitution or shortcut to reduce costs. They are prompt and listen to what the customer wants from the beginning and provided the services needed at a reasonable cost. Thumbs up Recommendation!
