We at Sharp Builder Aim to make sure every customer is 100% completely satisfied and loves the newly created space or project we have given them! We know how important it is to get a sense of feel for what the customer likes and wants with there project, We also know how hard it is to come up with the finances to pay for these projects. This is why we want the customer to fall in love with the project and not feel like they wasted their money!! With this said you can rest assure you will be in good hands with Sharp Builders.

"Our kitchen turned out great. However, I can't recommend Kenny as a general contractor. He didn't estimate our drywall properly, our drywall price more than doubled in cost by the end of the project. He failed inspection on the steel beam that replaced a load-bearing wall (it was missing 1/4" steel brackets called for by the engineer). Then he brought over $2 brackets meant for wood and suggested we use them for our steel beam. We ended up having to buy the proper 1/4" steel brackets and hire our own welder to install them. No discount for what he charged us for installing the beam though, we "did that on [our] own". After the beam fiasco, it was obvious that he disliked working with us and dealing with him was uncomfortable. Unfortunately, we had already paid him a large enough deposit for the project, so we felt it was best to see it through. At one point, after a miscommunication over which way a door should swing, he called me, yelling about it, and when I tried to defuse the situation by suggesting we talk in person, he threatened to come "confront my wife" about it the next day. I told him he wouldn't, and he didn't. Needless to say, we're really glad the project is over."

"I hired Scott on August 17, 2018 to do some minor electrical, plumbing and some sheet rock repair in preparation for some kitchen cabinets being installed. I made it clear that the time to complete the project was very important because the cabinets had already been purchased and were waiting at Lowes for installation. He assured me that he could complete the job in just a few days and asked for a deposit of $300.00 to start. I wrote the check and asked him to start asap. (the check was cashed that same afternoon). He said he would like to get an early start, and we agreed that he would be at my house the next morning at 8:00am (the whole household had to get up early to accommodate this schedule) He never showed up until about 9:15 am. He said he had to take his daughter to work. He only worked until 10:15 am and then had to leave for the day. He said that he could not return until Tuesday morning because he had prior commitments. I texted him Monday night just to make sure he would be there on Tuesday. He indicated that he would be there at 8:30 am. He showed up at 9:15 am and worked for about 45 mins and left. He told me that he had to take one of his children to the Instacare. And then he had to go to Park City for something and asked if he could stop by on his way back around 9pm, just to go over what I wanted. (I had already giving him plans for the whole job). At 9pm he texted me and said something came up in Park City and he was just leaving. He still had to pick up his wife in Salt Lake City and then he would be at my house. That was at least 1 ½ hours of travel time. I told him it would be too late. He promised he would have the whole day Wednesday and would be at my house by 10am. He texted me on Wednesday at noon and said he was on his way. I called him at 1:30 wondering where he was AGAIN and left a message (he never answers his phone). He texted back again saying he was on his way. He got to my house about 2:00 and finally worked for a few hours (till 5:30). He texted me at 2:00 saying he was up at the University and was on his way to me. An hour later he texted again saying his car was over heating…… got to my house at almost 5pm. I sent him away. I guess he gets to keep the $300 dollars I gave him….. He had worked a total of maybe 5-6 hours. (Only really did about 1 ½ hours’ worth of work). My son had to redo most of what he did because it was not done right. By this time my son had taken the 1 ½ days off and had finished the whole project."

"YIKES! THIS COMPANY DOESN'T CARE ABOUT YOU OR ITS REPUTATION! 4 people knew that I was having a problem and none of them helped me; Austin, Kyle, Dustin or the Regional Manager. I'm blown away by their lack of customer service and communication. The mitigation process, with Austin, went great at the beginning but everything after the repair estimate was a NIGHTMARE! Once Dustin McBride, the one handling the mitigation process, THOUGHT I wasn't having them do the WHOLE job he started treating me like crap. He wouldn't respond to my text questions. I called and talked to Kyle on a Thursday and let him know that I was concerned about the lack of communication. He assured me he would talk to him and make sure he communicated better with me. 4 days later Dustin texted me at 4:30 pm (right before he was going home for the day) and said they wouldn't be able to start my job for 6 WEEKS. I texted back and said, "When I talked to you 2 weeks ago you said the job would be started in about 2 weeks." He texted back that was based on them doing ALL the work. I assured him that I never said they weren't going to do the whole job and I just wanted to wait to see what the estimate said. There were crickets after that. I'm so confused about this manner of handling problems. I also called and left a message for the regional manager of Paul Davis but it's been 4 days so I doubt if they care either. If you look at some of the other reviews about Paul Davis, Paul Davis stops working when someone complains about a problem they are having. They run away instead of actively solving the problem. I checked out the Utah Disaster Kleenup reviews. I was impressed that when someone complained they wanted to find them in their system and make things right. That's the kind of company that I want to work with, one that is concerned about their reputation!!!!! I've hired UDK to come and do the work. I guess my $14,000 wasn't enough for Paul Davis. (they would have gotten over $22,000 for the whole job). Unfortunately for them, when I'm treated poorly I let EVERYONE know about it. They should have at least acted as if they cared. Check out my evidence below. My texts are in green and Dustin McBride's are in b&w. It took him 5 days to get back to me. How hard is it to send a text? To PaulDavis: I hope that you guys learn from this experience and don't just assume the customer doesn't want you to do the whole job. I wanted to see the repair estimate before a signed the work authorization slip. I didn't know what I was locked into once I signed that. Once the estimate comes back, just call the customer and say, "hey I've got your approved estimate back from the insurance company. They are going to cover this and this. We can start ____. Can I please get that deductible from you?" I would have said, "that sounds great. Do you know how much it would cost to paint the whole basement at the same time?""

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

Sagging floors, large cracks in your walls, and uneven door frames are three signs that your floor joists need to be replaced. You may also notice squeaky floorboards, windows that no longer close correctly, and stairs that sag on either side. You'll need a structural engineer or floor contractor to confirm whether the floor joists are the true problem behind these issues.

Accurate measurements, sturdy materials, and seamless integration with other structures.

Generally completed within a couple of hours, depending on damage extent.

If nail pops in your drywall aren't fixed, there can be consequences to the structure of your home and the aesthetics of the room. Nail pops may loosen or weaken drywall and may be less effective at providing support and insulation, ultimately requiring more extensive repairs or replacement in the future. If not fixed, the blemish will become increasingly unsightly over time, potentially leading to further damage as raised areas easily catch on objects or clothing.

Modern brick houses are really stick-built homes with a brick facade for aesthetic purposes only, so most have framing. With genuine brick construction, most homeowners install furring strips over the interior of the brick and then install drywall over those strips to cover the brick wall, so they don’t have traditional framing.
