"Shane contacted me and came out to winterize my sprinklers the same day. He was kind, professional, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain what he was doing and also showed me what I would need to do to reactivate the sprinklers in spring (I recently bought my home so this is the first time I’ve had to worry about it). Will definitely call Aspen Ridge Landscapes again for future projects."

"I had them install a stop n waste valve and connection into the culinary water system. They also connected into my existing sprinkler system that I was changing. I excavated the hole to get to the city water pipe which was about 5 feet deep and called them to complete the job. They found the pipe, made the connections, tested the system, and filled the hole to complete the job."

Lawn Irrigation questions, answered by experts

Routine lawn care costs between $50 and $250 per service, with an average of around $100. Most homeowners need one service per week through the spring and summer, and many switch to snow removal services in the winter. The price you’ll pay will depend on a few different factors:

  • Size of your lawn

  • Complexity of your lawn layout and obstructions

  • Requested services

  • Home’s location

  • How quickly your grass grows

Yes! Fescue grass is a perennial that naturally regrows every spring. That’s why we recommend planting this grass variety in the spring to jump into the ideal growing and regrowing schedule. Keep in mind that fescue grasses thrive in cooler and transitional areas, so some species do best in moderate climates below 90 and above 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

Yes, many providers include aeration and soil testing in the seeding process. Confirm with your contractor.

If it’s been a few weeks and you haven’t seen anything pop up, double-check your seed packet and make sure you didn’t miss any steps. Did they need cold stratification (putting seeds in the freezer and then transferring to water before planting)? Do they have an exceptionally long germination period?

If you’ve followed all of the directions closely, you may just have had a bad batch of seeds. (Sadly, it happens.)

Some grass types grow better than others on hard dirt. For example, hardy grass types like perennial ryegrass and Kentucky bluegrass will grow better on tough soil. Keep in mind that you should still consider your area’s climate when deciding on a grass type.
