"Ray was great. He diagnosed and correct several not-to-code items that we inherited when we bought our house. He also installed a new Tesla wall charger. Great price, competent electrician."

"Ryan was awesome. We were having trouble getting our newly installed Ring Doorbell to work correctly. Turns out it needed more voltage. So he changed out the transformer and Bingo we got it to work. Ryan is super friendly and cares about his work and the customer. I’m definitely hiring him again."

"This master electrician showed up On time, with a skilled partner, understood immediately what I wanted and how best to do it. The measuring was expert because after they left we stared at everything and were impressed by the level hardware on the walls. Everything was even and accurately installed. If I changed my mind during the process and wanted it moved, there was complete acceptance of my thought process and it was completed quickly. The mood was positive, the work was awesome, the communication was clear and the price was fair. My list was so complicated that two other electricians no-showed me three times each trying to blow me off but not this team. They kept both appointments and stayed until it got finished. I would definitely re-hire Mr. Williams and recommend him to everyone in need of small projects or large."

"Israel was a professional and then some. He did a great job on a challenging install (one fan was on a 17-foot ceiling and the other was on a 45-degree slope). He made it look like a breeze. He also helped us move the furniture out of the way and back again. We would definitely call him again for additional work."

"Hired a professional to install 2 hand rails for my parents. One was installed on the front porch brick steps and one on the back porch brick steps. They arrived on time, installed both handrails quickly and safely. Handrails are sturdy, and now my parents lives are that much safer. Would recommend."

Generator Install questions, answered by experts

While the rating will tell you how many watts the refrigerator needs at the peak of its cycle, it requires additional wattage to start. At the bare minimum, you’ll need a 1,500-watt generator to get the fridge up and running after a blackout. A 2,000-watt generator should be sufficient for most home refrigerators.

If you’re wondering whether gas generators produce carbon monoxide, know that natural gas generators do not produce carbon monoxide if they are functioning properly, as natural gas burns cleanly. However, if the generator malfunctions and the gas does not burn completely, there is potential for carbon dioxide to be produced. To prevent malfunctions, it's crucial to perform regular maintenance, including running the generator weekly and scheduling professional inspections every 6 to 12 months. Also, be sure to test your carbon monoxide detectors regularly to ensure they function in the rare case of the generator producing carbon monoxide.

In some situations, yes. Never try to put biofuel into any home generator without checking the specifics first. If a generator has the ability to run on diesel, it can also run pure biofuel (the clear kind made from seed oils, for example). But if you are using biofuel made from animal fats or vegetable oils, the generator will need significant modifications before it can handle a sludgier type of biofuel.

It might seem counterintuitive, but installing a generator transfer switch will save you money in the long run. While you’ll have to pay between $400 and $2,500 to have the transfer switch installed, you’ll recoup that amount later on when you don’t have to pay for expensive repairs to your appliances, devices, and electrical system that may have burned out, overloaded, or stopped working due to a sudden loss of power or an incorrect hook up of a generator to your home

You can determine what size generator you need for a transfer switch by matching the switch to the largest outlet on your generator. Larger generators can power up to 10 circuits, while most 5,000-watt generators can provide power to six circuits. So, if your generator’s largest outlet is 30 amps, you’ll need a 30-amp transfer switch.
