We are a locally owned and operated plumbing company located in the Sugar House area of Salt Lake City, Utah. This location makes it easy for us to provide services for many cities in the Greater Salt Lake Area. Our general area of service covers any area between Tooele and Park City; from Bountiful to Draper. We operate with the highest standards of integrity. We are licensed, bonded, and insured. Our plumbers are qualified and experienced. Plumbing Plus also has great reviews on Angie's List, an online listing service where member consumers can rate and reviews contractors and other service companies.

"Full renovation. Want to upsize water/gas & replace my failed stop-and-waste. Called PP and asked to schedule an estimate. Lady asked about project. Explained the gist and she said she couldn't provide an estimate for that over the phone, but told me their hourly rate is $165 and that is per worker so double that if two were on job, etc. Pricey, but not unexpected for skilled labor. Scheduled a time and I met Rodney. He was knowledgeable & friendly. Explained in detail what I wanted, asked if it was feasible, etc. He said they could do the water part, but since the gas line is owned by Dominion Energy up to and including the meter, I'd have to talk to them about if the gas line and/or meter needed replacing. Called DE and got on the waiting list for a "pre-eval", and as Rodney recommended I sent an email to PP with all the details of the project and a sketch for clarity. While waiting for DE to get back to me I got an invoice for $165 in the mail from PP. I called PP and asked why"

"Warning, this is long. My wife and I hired Mike for a kitchen/partial bathroom/front entry way remodel after getting bids from a couple different companies. I will start off by saying we are not high maintenance people but do expect a certain level of professionalism. We are not here to nitpick but I find it necessary to let other people know our story so it doesn’t happen to them. And maybe in hopes that Mike will take our comments seriously and learn some things from this. - First, love the granite counter tops in the kitchen and main bathroom, however, the granite in the other bathroom is different and chipped, we made it clear I wanted all the same counter tops throughout. - Love the kitchen sink. - The travertine tile flooring looks amazing and was recommended to me by Mike and there were some concerns about it cracking and he assured us not to worry. Well, we have had over 30 cracked tiles, most of which have been switched out but still continue to crack. Adding to that, there were some tiles that clearly did not go with the lot. For an example, one tan color travertine in the middle of gray ones, they did fix that though. - Kitchen – we did basically a whole gut of the kitchen and a lot of details were missed. * Starting with the ceiling they put new drywall in because they took out a drop ceiling and installed canned lighting. You can see the seams in the drywall and does not look professional. Mike mentioned while doing it that he was not a drywall guy and I offered to get a drywall guy onsite if needed and he said no, should have been a clue for us to not move forward with him. * We were moving the spot of the island and Mike said I had a while to figure out exactly where I needed it as they were not going to set the island cabinets yet. However, they laid the tile and pulled the electrical cord through in the wrong location. Nothing was even discussed with us about it and we discovered this once it was too late. However, hind sight would have made me have them change it back when I first noticed. But now we don’t have an electrical outlet in our island which is code. * Another layout error was an outlet that could have been moved over a couple inches but now it’s almost behind the stove and hard to plug anything in. * Not even sure where to begin with the cabinets, they are such a mess. First the base of cabinets are disgustingly dirty, I feel at the very least they should have been wiped down. Also, the edges of the base of cabinets are frayed as if he did not cut them correctly. The wood cabinets doors are a disaster, a lot of them the wrong size and don’t close properly. Also, some of them have a very different texture than the others (Mike claims it’s because the other ones had dust, but that isn’t the case). We are still missing cabinet doors above the microwave which baffles me because Mike had about two months to give the measurements to the cabinet guys and after switching out multiple cabinets doors, still doesn’t have them right, you either have correct measurements or you don’t. One of the cabinet hinges are stripped. Screws were put in to some of the cabinets too far and now there is caulk over it making it look very unprofessional. After looking at the cabinet box around the fridge because I felt it was uneven, I finally took out a measuring tape and sure enough there is a 3/4 inch different between the top and bottom. * They put in a new window which looks great, however, the trim around the right side of the window/cabinet is horrible. There is a bunch of caulk all the way down and just looks sloppy. * Dishwasher was put back in and is uneven and not attached. My wife mentioned this to Mike and he insisted it was correct. It is definitely not. - Living room – we have a step down living room about 6 inches or so and we needed to replace the trim around it. There is a part of the edge that needs to support some of the tile, which should have been discovered from the beginning before doing the floor but a little too late for that. They put melamine trim underneath with caulk between the trim and the tile so the tile has no support. That night we even found cracks and parts that “chipped” off, very unprofessional. - Main Bathroom – the flooring, lighting above mirror, vanity were updated. Granite counter top looks amazing, flooring and vanity are good. One major thing is the hole where they changed the lighting over the vanity and did not patch it, but, easy fix. - Master bath – flooring looks great, light above mirror looks great. As mentioned above, granite is different and chipped. The drawers in the vanity are a mess, they screwed the faces of drawers in too far and then caulked it, really sloppy. There was a big chunk of the inside of a drawer that broke off and they caulked it back on, it looks horrible. The trim around the floor is uneven and needs to be redone. The tile that was laid lacked a proper transition between the tile and carpet, poor planning. - They left huge messes when they would leave for a couple days (weeks) and not clean up at all. Walking up to our front door is a long walkway of stone pavers and then trek deck up to door, they clearly broke a bag of grout and carried it up to the house spilling it and then not cleaning it up. Now after having weather and it not coming off after pressure washing, I have a big mess to clean up after they said they would take care of it. - There have been delays with counter tops and because of those “unforeseen delays” Mike offered to paint for us (us pay for paint) if we helped. While we expect to see a mess and touch ups, we don’t expect it to be a disaster and unprofessional. Mike had so much over spray everywhere that I have put in at least 4 hours in cleaning up the over spray. He sprayed over light switches and places that weren’t supposed to be sprayed. - We sent Mike a list of things we felt needed to be completed before his next trip and he agreed that he would look at those items and fix them, well only a few of them were fixed. - Mike contacted me before his “last” trip (ended up being about a day and a half later than expected) and clearly stated that he would not leave until everything is finished. So that last afternoon they were there we brought up a couple issues with the cabinets doors, Mike said he was going to Fed Ex the cabinet doors that we needed which implied to us he felt he was finished. He said he would talk to his cabinet guy and let us know when the other cabinets would be finished and left in a hurry without even going over anything with us. The next couple days were discoveries of things that were promised to be finished but were not. Added issues were found. My wife let Mike know of these issues and he said he wasn’t finished. He also said in response to some of the issues “unfortunately I have helpers and sometimes they leave something that I’m unaware of it,” quote on quote. This leads me to ask, why would you not look over everything? Why would you hire helpers that you don’t trust or have pride in their work? Since then, he said he needed to hear back from the cabinet/countertop guy, after two weeks of hearing nothing we reached out to Mike again asking for an itemized invoice and he said he would be in touch when he hears back from the cabinets/countertop guys and have not heard anything back, it's been over a month. - We have been more than patient with expectations not being met and even explained to Mike what we expected and he understood. This was supposed to be a total of 3 weeks and everything would be finished. I know there are delays to be expected but we are now in the 3rd MONTH and actually have not heard any update in over 4 weeks. Although my wife and I know very little about the construction business, we do know quite a bit about business ethics. Whether or not you are doing a low end or high-end work, details and pride of work matter. Keeping your customer informed matters."

"1. I had a complete remodel from Re-Bath UT. Within 6 months the cauking shrank & I am getting holes. at two different places above the shower wall they installed. I suspect they used cheap caulking for it to shrink like that or the gap was to big to fill with caulk 2. The brushed nickle Moen plate (where you turn on the water) has terrible water marks that won't come off. I have a really nice soft water conditioner. Re-Bath says they use only the top grade Moen products. I have had many house in my life & never had a problem like that. 3. The glass shower door opens up about 1/2 " after closing. I called Re-Bath & they said they can't do anything about the Moen shower plate. I sent them photos on 8.11.23 & have not heard from them. I wouldn't recommend them. The gaps were to big after they cut the shower walls at top & bottom. I wanted it professionally done but I soon realized I could have done a better job than they did."

"Whitewater Cultured Marble showers Overall Rating 5/10 I’ve been living with the product for 2 weeks, and here is my honest review Master Bath. 9.5 /10 Pros: Easy to clean, looks nice and isn’t cold like stone would be. The seams were done evenly and spaced to match the doors. I love the symmetry. Cons: you get water on the floor every time you use it, there is no way to completely close the doors. But not a huge issue if you are ok with wiping it up every shower. Kids shower. 5/10 Pros: the glass enclosure does a good job keeping the water in. Simple, timeless look Cons: If I’m honest, I regret this shower. I wish I hadn’t used cultured marble. It looks terrible for the money we spent. First the seem wasn’t installed horizontally to hide it. Instead they opted to put the seem vertically right down the middle of the shower wall. It looks cheap and reminds you of a mobile home shower. This is very frustrating because cultured marble was more than the real tile shower would have been. We went with cultured marble hoping it would clean up better than tile and grout, but didn’t anticipate it looking so cheap. Second, the seem wasn’t cleaned well, the glue they used is smeared on the outside of the seem and is already collecting dirt. I have tried removing it with goo gone, acetone and tile cleaner. Nothing has worked. So the seem gets more and more pronounced every time my kids shower. Third, there are chips in the material around the floor. The installers didn’t try to fill them in, they were just left to collect dirt. Last, (this is just a preference ) I wouldn’t recommend the plain, white floor. The white floor has just enough texture to capture dirt and already looks dingy. It’ll require a lot more cleaning, I wish I had picked a color for the floor. Installation: 3/10 This is the hardest part of working with this company. From the moment you pick your colors and give them money you are over 2 months before the shower is done- so plan on not having a shower during this time. You have several steps: Step 1. They come measure the shower and order your pan/walls. Then they text you to schedule the next step 2-3 weeks later. Step 2. Installation of floor pan and walls Be sure to check if a pan inspection is required- we had to do this step in 2 parts because of the inspection. Each piece was 3 weeks apart. Once finished, they text you to schedule the next step, 2-3 weeks later. Step 3. Measure for glass. Then they text you to schedule the next step, 2-3 weeks out. Step 4. Install glass. Each step takes 2-3 weeks to schedule. They do not schedule a single step ahead of time (so you won’t get the walls in and have the glass measured the next day) Each step has to be completed to schedule the next step, it was so frustrating! We started on October 1st and finished the install December 17 (12 weeks later) The second problem with install is the mess they made. I had to repair the ceilings and walls after they had finished due to scratches and dents. They also don’t clean up when they finish. You are cleaning the glass, the panels, the floor; everything when they are done. They get caulk all around the unit so remove any trim etc. you don’t want the caulk on . It is about 1/2 inch and isn’t a clean line. I spent a couple hours removing product from my wood floors and repairing and repainting. This is a small issue and it wouldn’t have bothered me very much, if I wasn’t already frustrated it took 12 weeks to install."

Bathtub Restoration questions, answered by experts

For a standard-sized bathtub with minor damage, it takes approximately 3 to 5 hours to refinish. It might take a bit longer if your bathtub refinishing contractor needs to fill in significant cracks or gouges. This is the same if you have a specialty tub, like an oversized bathtub—you can expect your pro to take a bit on the longer side.

Two alternatives to reglazing are installing a bathtub inlay or a bathtub liner. An inlay is a low-priced mat that adheres to the bottom of a bathtub or shower. It’s useful for sealing minor leaks and concealing damage on the bottom of a tub. On the other hand, a bathtub liner is essentially a protective casing that goes over the entire tub. They are usually custom-fit and cost more than reglazing yet don’t last as long.

A bathtub liner can be a good idea if your budget is your top concern when planning a bathroom remodel. Installing a new bathtub liner can give your bathroom the look of a complete renovation without the high price tag. But, it’s somewhat of a band-aid fix and won’t work for all homes, like if you have a freestanding tub.

A chipped bathtub could leak over time if you don’t take care of the issue. A tiny chip isn’t a big deal but may eventually grow into a larger crack. As the months go by, the tub’s barrier against moisture becomes weakened, making it prone to leaking. Large chips can also cause the tub to rust and even crack in half.

It is worth it to refinish a bathtub if your current tub is in good shape. Refinishing your tub can remove scratches from wear and tear, cover blemishes and stains, and fill small cracks. However, consider replacing your tub if it’s severely damaged, has large cracks, or leaks.
