"Eddie Durrant from Valley Plumbing replaced an old faucet in my small bathroom. The drain area in the sink was chipped and old, he worked very hard to get the new drain replacement to seal. We thought it was good, but after he left it started to leak around the drain. I called Valley Plumbing and they had Eddie come back out before he went to his next job. He took it all apart and added more plumbers tape to see if that would fill in the chipped areas in the sink. It worked. He did a great job and was very patient as he worked. I would definitely have him back to do plumbing work in my home."

"Matt arrived yesterday promptly at 9:00 am and gave me an estimate of $ 800.00 for repair.  Appointment was set for the next morning at 9:00 am.  Again, he arrived on time and began digging.  Part way down he encountered a tree stump I had forgotten about.  He checked with the office, taking a picture and consulting. The faucet is right next to the side walk.  It looked as though he had no way to access the pipes without either  digging down using an excavator, which would have to be rented or removing part of the sidewalk.  Weber water is often several feet underground so in order to access it a hole several feet deep would have to be made.  An excavator was unavailable, so I chose to have part of the sidewalk  removed.  The estimate rose to $ 1600.00 due to unknown factors, equipment rental and piping.  A jack hammer was rented and the work begun.  It was soon discovered that the Weber Water inlet was actually fairly shallow however five leaks were discovered that had been unforeseen.  The piping was replaced and new faucets installed.  The water was turned on for a good half hour with no new leaks.  The sidewalk chunks were removed from the property and grass sections replaced.  Though the deep hole had not been required, that had only been discovered by removing the section of sidewalk--an unavoidable necessity.  However, discovering and replacing piping that had not been known was done at no extra cost beyond the estimate.  While I would have liked to spend less on this work (who doesn't?) the quality is excellent.  Matt and Tim stayed to make sure everything was as it should be.  They even added a couple of connector rings to my older hoses.  I will have to hire a contractor to restore the sidewalk section, but considerable care was taken to make the cuts smooth (as much as is possible).  I'm glad to have this annoying problem fixed.  The $ 1600.00 price tag stings a little, but I am confident the leaks they fixed would have to be fixed sooner or later, and probably cutting the sidewalk would be necessary again, so from that standpoint, I feel all right.  Both men were courteous, professional and thorough.  I have used Beehive plumbing in the past and will most likely use them in the future.

"I called four people the same day. And he was the very best, forthright and honest. There is a gimmick that the competitors use that they will clean one drain for $30, but they won't give you a price for the entire job. He was terrific!"

Customers say: Quality work

"I received a couple other bids for a new water heater that were quite a bit higher. After I requested a bid from Page Plumbing through HomeAdvisor the owner called within the hour. He gave me a bid over the phone. He told me the water heater model, warranty info etc. and offered to install it the same day. I will call Page Plumbing again for future plumbing needs."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

A frequent mistake during plumbing in UT is skipping required permits and inspections, which causes major issues later. Homeowners also overlook the impacts of hard water, leading to premature water heater failure. For outdoor projects, burying pipes above the 30-inch frost line or forgetting to winterize systems before October causes burst pipes. Finally, neglecting to inspect older clay sewer lines leads to extensive property damage.

Helpful?

Combining plumbing with kitchen or bathroom remodels is highly efficient, as open walls allow easy replacement of aging supply lines under a single permit. Installing a water heater alongside a water softener addresses UT hard water issues simultaneously. However, avoid scheduling extensive indoor and outdoor work during the active summer irrigation season, as this creates severe scheduling conflicts and extends project timelines.

Helpful?

Unexpected financial surprises during plumbing stem from replacing failed clay sewer laterals or scale-clogged galvanized pipes discovered behind walls. Excavating heavy clay soils in Centerville increases labor requirements for underground work. Upgrading water heaters to meet current seismic strapping codes adds strict compliance requirements. You will also encounter mandatory permit fees and mandatory repair work for old freeze damage.

Helpful?

The local climate and water quality dictate the success of plumbing in Centerville. High mineral content causes rapid scale buildup, shortening the lifespan of fixtures and water heaters. Cold winters demand burying exterior pipes below the 30-inch frost line to prevent freezing. Additionally, expansive clay soils shift seasonally, stressing underground lines. Following state codes ensures your system withstands these specific environmental challenges.

Helpful?

Start your plumbing project by securing required permits from local county offices well in advance. Next, contact city public works to verify your utility connections. You must call local utility locators before any digging begins. For older Centerville properties, hire a professional to scope your sewer lateral with a camera. Finally, check your subdivision for specific homeowner association rules regarding visible exterior fixtures.
