"I found Retrospect Building for remodeling. My experience was good. They were pleasant to work with and they honored their commitments and did a good job. I was pretty pleased with the product. We always wish it was cheaper but they were competitive."

"Brandon worked hard to get our tub faucet repaired in one afternoon and called in a manager to help when he had a hard time repairing part of the plumbing. Valley Plumbing communicated well as far as when the plumber would be arriving and about how long it would take."

"Wes was very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose the problem with my water heater. We went through my options and Wes educated me along the way to help me make the decision on what I should do. He even showed me what was wrong so I knew I could trust him. Iâ ve already scheduled Plumbing and Company to come back and install a new vanity sink in my bathroom. Glad to have found a plumber I can trust."

"We had them put in a gas line for stovetop and fireplace conversion. While we had issues getting the fireplace line in. There was a cost overrun. They worked with us to share the cost. I got a call from them also offer to fix our drywall, since it was more extensive. This was not included in the price, but I appreciate the call and offer."

Tub Shower Conversion questions, answered by experts

Medicare does not typically cover the cost of a walk-in shower. The federal health insurance program considers a walk-in shower to be a home alteration rather than a medical necessity, even though walk-in showers would assist many people who are eligible for Medicare. Medicare Advantage Plans and Medicaid are more likely to cover the cost of a walk-in shower. It’s not a guarantee, even with a letter from a physician, and if reimbursement is authorized, it usually comes after the individual pays the upfront installation fee.

It depends on your or your loved one’s needs. One grab bar will do if you only need help getting in and out of the shower. You might need two: one near your shower’s entrance if you need help getting in and out of your shower and another to help you move around inside it.

Shower pan replacement costs depend on the size and shape of the pan and whether you install it or hire a shower installer. On average, replacing a shower pan costs around $1,620, but costs range between $900 and $2,300. Hiring an experienced pro helps ensure that the installation is done correctly and your shower won’t leak.

Showers can come in any size. Prefab shower pans are available in sizes ranging from 30 by 30 inches to 60 by 60 inches. The standard size of a small prefab shower or a corner shower is 32 by 32 inches, but an ADA-compliant shower should be at least 36 by 36 inches. Standard large prefabricated showers are typically 36 by 60 inches.

You should replace your showerhead if you notice issues like low or inconsistent water pressure, leaks, rust, sediment buildup, or mold. These signs often point to internal problems that cleaning cannot fix and can even pose health risks, particularly in the case of black mold. You can also replace a showerhead at any time for an aesthetic upgrade or to get more features.

A new showerhead offers several benefits. It can improve water pressure while conserving water, save money by stopping leaks, and enhance your bathroom's appearance. It's an easy and affordable way to improve your showering experience. For more functionality, consider models with additional spray settings or a detachable head.

Note that some symptoms may indicate larger problems. For instance, significant sediment buildup could mean you need a water softener, and persistent low water pressure might signal an issue with your water heater.
