Our home is over 25 years old and we were needing a combination of home renovations and a series of new work including new bedrooms, bathrooms, storage rooms and generally fixes around the house. Dan and his team were incredibly professional, adaptable to changes and quality driven. The projects varied significantly in scope and he assembled a team that was able to accomplish our request and exceed our expectations. We have already had neighbors look at his work and are interested in hiring Retrospect. Very personable.

This company goes above and beyond in customer satisfaction and attention to detail! They were recommended to us by good friends who had them do a kitchen remodel. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone! They stayed on schedule, on budget, and worked to find us the best prices on our tub and hardware! They actually saved us over $1200 from what we thought we would have to pay! They are so easy to work with and are very professional! In fact, by the time they were done, they felt like family! We will definitely use them again when we do our kitchen remodel next year! Don’t hesitate to work with them! You won’t be sorry!

We did a complete remodel of our main living spaces including tearing out walls, dropped ceiling, flooring, cabinets, etc... The guys at Retrospect absolutely exceeded all of my expectations in every way. They were really responsive, came in right on budget from their initial estimate, and got it all done in the time they had initially estimated even though some of their subs had some hold ups. I honestly can't recommend them enough and as a Realtor I've already had the opportunity to refer them out to quite a few people. In a world where I can rarely get a contractor to even return a call these guys went so far above and beyond expectations that I will continue to recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Our experience with Retrospect was fantastic, and we plan on completing more projects with them. We were concerned about our project initially because we had already completed custom cabinets, sink, granite countertop, bead board, and baseboards in this bathroom several years ago. Retrospect took extra care to protect all this work. We couldn't be happier with the way it all turned out. Communication and commitment was great. Their schedule for our project was as promised. No delays. Dan answered questions through text as we thought about them. They take pride in their work and it shows. Beautiful work on this tile and the entire project. They pay attention to detail, are easy to work with and have the utmost integrity.

Dan and Landon showed up on time, work when expected and turned out a finely finished product. always concerned about us, never wanting to inconvenience us. took changes well and provided more than expected. pricing was not cheap, but fair. quality of work was 1st class.

We could not be more pleased with the results. From the beginning Dan and Landon were very accommodating and easy to work with. Dan was very good about going over the bid with us until it was just what we thought we wanted and could afford. Both guys are very hard working and easy to have around. I totally trusted having them in our home. The thing I loved most was that Dan consistently updated us through email about when they were coming to work, what supplies had to be ordered and when they would arrive and what they would be doing next on the project. I also felt comfortable emailing them with questions. My husband and I are already deciding on our next update for the guys at Retrospect to do. Glad we found them.

It went very well and I am very happy with my "new" house. Dan and Landon were great to work with. When waiting for painters, etc. Dan always kept in touch and let me know the schedule. The project was completed pretty close to schedule. We had to make a few changes as the work progressed because this is an old house and I threw in a few additional changes. I have asked Dan to come back and work on an outdoor project this fall - it will be nice to see them again!

Excellent bid time, excellent explanation of repairs required and excellent timeliness and completion of  work.

I found Retrospect Building for remodeling. My experience was good. They were pleasant to work with and they honored their commitments and did a good job. I was pretty pleased with the product. We always wish it was cheaper but they were competitive.

They removed existing tub, shower, vanity and all surrounding tile.  All flooring removed. Chipboard closet organizers removed. Built new custom tiled shower and tub where the old jetted tub was.  New cupboard/storage where old shower was.  New lighting, new vanity with two sinks vs. one. New fan and toilet in toilet room. Replaces old lighting cans in bedroom. New tile floor in the style that resembles wood.  Bead board on walls in bedroom. New paint all around. New closet organizer in melanine.

It was quite right. I thought they did a good job. They just did what they said they were going to do. They were personable.

Dan and Landon were absolutely wonderful to work with!  Even though a few issues popped up (no fault on the part of Retrospect), they rolled with it and helped us through the rough patch.  They were timely, fair, professional and a pleasure to work with.  I will definitely use them again when my next project comes along.

Completely gutted our kitchen and rearranged where the sink and oven went, We put up an Ikea kitchen and it looks amazing they did a great job. We were please with most of the subcontractors he hired, particularly the guys for the awning(porch) and the floor.  Dan was very professional handling any issues we had and stuck to his word. There were a few times where the style or the design we wanted wasn't available and he anticipated our needs spectacularly.  We will definitely be holding on to his card.

Wow.... were we impressed with Dan.

We have good renters in our duplex and needed the bathroom completed in no more than 3 days. Dan scheduled and worked with the plumber, marble, demo, permit, inspector and finished the bathroom in 2 days. Dan and his subcontractors were very, professional, respectful and clean covering all work areas. Our renters only had to shower at their gym 1 day. FANTASTIC!!!! Rare to find someone that follows through, is clean and does a great job! Dan was not least expensive, but the extra 300.00 was well worth a no hassle worry free job. THANKS FOR A JOB WELL DONE!

Dan did an excellent job remodelling our home!  He did a wide range of jobs for us including: tile, cabinetry, drywall, and electrical.  He did such a good job on everything, especially our tile and cabinets.  He was a fast worker and extremely attentive to details that I would've missed and never noticed, very concerned about quality.  Dan was also very personable and easy to work with.  We felt completely comfortable with him in our home.  I will definitely call him first if we have any other projects!

Very happy with the end result.  He listened to what we wanted and helped to come up with a layout that would work.  His finish work and detail were impressive.  We responded promptly to any concerns or questions we had.  Very easy to work with.  We are looking to use him again in the future.

Dan was very skilled, on time, and trustworthy.  Given keys to our home.  We had Dan remodel our daughter (bath @ her home and more) after ours was done.

Dan was great to work with! We first contacted him in June when we were just formulating a plan for our kitchen remodel. Prior to the beginning of the job Dan was always available to answer our questions and he worked with us to keep costs down. Once the project started Dan was efficient, flexible and dependable. Dan pays attention to the details and his work is of the highest quality.

Everyone concerned with this remodel was conscientious, polite and trustworthy, they did an incredible job in a three week period.
Dan kept me informed at all times as to what was happening and each of the contractors was great to work with, erasing all the stress that this kind of inconvenience brings.

We did personally demolished the bathroom in preparation for the work to be performed.  Dan started the job on April 1st and finished April 19th.  Dan worked some late hours to compensate for the delay. There were a few glitches and I have learned that every project like this takes longer than expected and costs more than expected. As a homeowner, changing your mind on some decisions will always happen and Dan was patient when this caused a bit of a delay.  All in all the final outcome is wonderful,.  Dan and his team finished everything and we love our new bathroom.

My wife and I recently bought an early 1900s home and are in the process of restoring and renovating it. One of our first projects was to modernize the bathroom as it lacked a shower and was in serious need of updating. We found Dan through Angie’s List and given his high marks we called him in for an estimate. For this project we wanted to move the tub (to bring things up to code), add a showerhead, lay a new tile floor and wainscot, redo the plaster on the walls and ceilings, update the electrical, add a bathroom fan, and put in a heated floor. My wife and I did the demo and bought all the lighting fixtures, tile, grout, plumbing fixtures, and electrical components. We got six estimates for the plumbing, drywall, and electrical work ranging from over $20k to $4k. Four of the estimates were in the $8-5k range, with Dan right in that price range. We liked Dan from the start and we appreciated his detailed estimate, so we asked for references and photographs from some of his previous bathroom jobs. He promptly provided photos and references’ phone numbers. All of his references gave him high praise. What really sold us were photos of his previous bathroom jobs; very high quality, professional tile work. We weren’t disappointed. Dan and his plumbing and electrical sub-contractors started their work promptly. We really liked his plumbing sub-contractor, Greg (from Hungry Trout Plumbing), and his quality work. The electrical subs were average. Dan hung the drywall and did the tile work. Our old house is crooked in just about every direction and Dan took great care furring the wall and making the walls straight and the room square. He also worked diligently to level the floor before laying the tiles. We used 1 in hexagonal tiles on the floor and Dan did a commendable job getting the many grout lines even while incorporating the “random” dot pattern we wanted. On the walls, we used 4x4 tiles and Dan was masterful at keeping the many grout lines perfectly straight along long stretches. His tile work is definitely high quality. Further, his presence was always welcome – he is an honest, hard-worker who was pleasant to have around. All in all, we are very happy with Dan’s work and love our bathroom. We would use Dan again on a major project.
