"To be honest Im dealing with a complicated district and I was kind of frustrated that my project was handed off to a new person but Raegan Hammon was the most patient, kind, professional and efficient Architect I have ever had the pleasure 🙏 of doing business with. "I think he actually delivered the plans June, 1st.  I wouldn't use them again. I would have liked them to have been more proactive. He basically just took my ideas and made the design and as a person that is not an expert in that field, I would have appreciated more of his expertise rather than him just taking my ideas and doing his design on them."

"Great service! The employees were on time courteous, neat and exceptional quality work. All the trim work was painted, doors, inside closets, replaced master bedroom base boards, rotted backdoor trim, door knob, and door stoppers. Power washed drive way. I have two or three more projects and will be using them only. Thanks for a fantastic job!"

"Dakota was my first point of contact with Hestia.  She spent about 15 minutes with me by phone reviewing my remodeling project goals.  Following our conversation, Dakota emailed me confirmation of my appointment and noted I would be meeting with Brian.  Communication is key to me, so I was highly impressed with her professionalism. I received a reminder call from Dakota the day before my appointment.  I also received a call from Lonnie who said he would be there a little early.  Early is always better than late, although with Houston's unpredictable traffic, I can empathize with late arrivals so long as it's communicated.  Lonnie was at the property when I arrived. He was comfortable and extremely informative.  He even explained a program Hestia offers to its clients for funding remodeling projects at zero percent interest.  I've never heard of another company offer such creative funding.  Before we got too far into our conversation, Brian arrived.  Both were professional, well-dressed, and well-spoken.  I appreciated seeing the Hestia logo to feel secure knowing exactly who I was meeting with.  We spent well into an hour discussing what I envisioned for my flip.  Brian offered incredible design ideas; no doubt he's has tons of experience under his belt.  Both were patient, detailed, and extremely engaging.  There more we talked, the more reality set in that moving forward with the rehab was not a good idea. I met previously with a few other contractors who were happy to quote my project.  The longer Lonnie and Brian walked the two-story property with me, Brian's expertise identified problem areas that would have cost me far more than my untrained eye could see.  He also showed me where the house would likely have had permitting issues, and even if properly permitted, may have had problems passing inspection.  Bottom line, I'm sure they wanted my business.  But Brian's candid honesty stopped me from moving forward with the flip.  You can bet I will call Hestia Construction for my next project.  I am highly impressed.  "

Architects questions, answered by experts

Check reviews, compare quotes, and verify licensing. Ensure the builder has experience with modular construction.

When planning a new build, meet with an architect as your first step. Architects will often work with specific contractors and can ensure the contractor on your project is qualified and experienced to handle your build. Both the architect and the contractor should be involved with the project from the early stages, but the process may be smoother when you start with an architect.

The architect you choose to work with should have experience with the type of design you’re interested in, a portfolio of similar projects they’ve completed, and a process and work style that aligns with your expectations. A seasoned architect will be able to provide you with all that information so you can ensure they’re a good fit.

A home elevator is a fantastic way to improve your home’s accessibility. Elevators allow anyone, even those who use wheelchairs or walkers, to safely move between floors within your home.

Dumbwaiters may allow you to move items up and down floors, and stair lifts can move people up and down, but elevators are the best option if you need space for people, their belongings, and/or mobility aids such as wheelchairs.

That said, home elevators cost more than other options, such as stair lifts. Consider your needs and your budget when deciding the best way to make your home more accessible to a person with a disability or a person who is aging in place.

The process involves initial consultation, concept development, detailed planning, regulatory approvals, and integration of contractor work for project execution.
